This is a beautiful ride from Goat Meadow, Snow Play Area to the Big Trees where we will have lunch. Bring a Lunch and a lead rope and halter. You might want to bring a camera also. We need to ride out at 10:00AM sharp so please allow yourself plenty of time to get ready. DIRECTIONS TO GOAT MEADOW Parking for the ride is at the Goat Meadow Snow Play Area DIRECTIONS: From Mariposa take Highway 49 South to Oakhurst. Turn left on Highway 41 and proceed to Fish Camp. Continue on Highway 41 approximately 2 miles past Fish Camp. Turn right on Mt. Raymond Road and follow it back to the paved parking area at the end. You will really need to watch for Mt. Raymond Road, it will sneak up on you. It is just after the first Yosemite National Park sign (a stone and wood sign). Questions? Meet
Logan Maire and Bo
(left)
&
Zhenka Beams and Ivy
(right)
Logan and Zhenka are two junior members of the Mountain Riders. They’re also best friends AND they
both got new mares this past month! Logan’s mare is a sorrel Quarter Horse named Bonita or “Bo” for
short and Zhenka’s new mare is a blue roan Quarter Horse named Blue Ivy. Both boys are getting to
know their mares at Shawna Dahl’s ranch. So far, Bo is super gentle and sweet with a lot of go and fancy
moves. Logan is looking forward to working cows on his new mare. Ivy is calm, cool and collected and
nothing fazes her not even the loud crowd noise at the Mariposa Rodeo where she carried the new
Princess and ran flags. Zhenka can’t wait to work cows with Ivy and his best bud Logan and Bo at the
next Mountain Riders playday in November. Come out to meet Logan, Zhenka and their new mares!
