Collect Prayer
Almighty ever-living God,
who in the abundance of your
kindness surpass the merits
and the desires of those who
entreat you, pour out your mercy
upon us to pardon what
conscience dreads and to give
what prayer does not dare to ask.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ,
your Son, who lives and reigns
with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Roman Missal
Faith is not a light which scatters all
our darkness; but a lamp which
guides our steps in the night and
suffices for the journey. Pope Francis

respect for life. Pope Francis
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: OCTOBER 7, 2016
This coming Friday is the First Friday of the month. We have Eucharistic Adoration at 7pm in our church. We pray for vocations, all the needs of our parish, and for our families.
“Could you not watch one hour with me?” - Mark 14:37
Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration with exposition
needs a great push. People ask me: “What will
convert America and save the world?” My
answer is prayer. What we need is for every
parish to come before Jesus in the Blessed
Sacrament in holy hours of prayer.
Mother Teresa
Serving at the altar is a privileged way to draw closer to Jesus, which in turn enables you to open yourselves to others, to journey together, to set demanding goals and to find the strength to achieve them. Pope Francis

faithful…requires that we remain in the conversation. Our
fidelity must be mobile because the conversation
continues. —Evelyn and James Whitehead

Altar Servers We are in need of altar servers, especially as Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas are coming up soon! Training will be provided.
3 reasons to consider being an altar server: 1. Respect and better understanding of the
Mass. 2. Community with peers. 3. Opportunity for leadership.
Please call Mrs. Craft at (310) 515-5208 and leave a message with your name and phone number.
