Mythology Tracking Sheet OBJECTIVES: I CAN identify important characters/stories from mythology in order to better understand allusions. I CAN compare mythologies between different cultures. I CAN apply literary theory to help further my understanding of literature. I CAN take effective notes and improve my recall. Mythology Major Units of Instruction: We will spend a decent amount of class time covering these SEVEN topics. We will focus primarily on Greek Mythology, but will explore other mythologies as well. Our primary source for these units will be Edith Hamilton's Mythology . Please note that this book is more of a theory book than a novel. It is college-level reading and might require a re-read from time to time. You are required and expected to take CORNELL NOTES throughout each of these units. This is for a MAJOR ASSIGNMENT! 1. As there are hundreds of mythologies, it is not possible to fully cover them all. You are, however, responsible for knowing more than what will be covered in the major

units of instruction. To that end, you will view a power point in class and are responsible for adding these characters/myths to your CORNELL NOTES. Please note that you are doing this in lieu of reading the entire Edith Hamilton book.
