HARVEST ANGUS BULL SALE—MARCH 14TH
The Harvest Angus Bull Sale in Williams Lake March 14 for Tom & Carolyn Dewaal, was
one huge success start to finish. Tom and Carolyn treated everyone to an excellent lunch,
and then treated them to 30 powerful Black Angus Bulls. Alvin & Darlene Scharf took
home the high selling bull and the new Harvest Angus jacket after purchasing LOT 2
JETSTREAM 1B for $7000.00. The Snowbound Ranch, the Kuurne Family from Pem-
berton purchased the second high seller VENTURE CAPITOL 27B for $6650.00. The Bar
K Ranch went home with the new Harvest Angus volume buyer jacket. Other volume
buyers at this incredible sale was the Springfield Ranch, The Perry Ranch, The Crystal
Waters Ranch, The Morgan Creek Ranch, and Jace & Shawna Jacobsen Ranch.

WILLIAMS LAKE—MARCH 19TH
The excitement today here in Williams Lake was wild as over 700 head of cattle hit the
sale ring. The Gang Ranch put the fire to this incredible sale with just under 300 on offer.
The first liner load of the Gang Ranch s/c all Black Angus with a total herd health program
95 head 654 lb. traded to 303.75. The second liner load, a fancy group of 530 lb. Black
Angus s/c, the power of quality traded to 257.75. The Gang Ranch also filled the ring with
32 head of 571 lb. Black Angus h/c’s, they notched 310.00, the lighter h/c’s 521 lb. raced
to 332.50. The Douglas Lake Cattle Co., Alkali Lake Ranch Division saw their powerful
pen of 602 lb. Angus cross s/c raced to 325.75. The big boys 701 lb. powered to 287.00.
An excellent pen of the 541 lb. Hereford Angus cross raced to 360.50. Mike and Sandra
Lepetich with some of the heaviest steers in the sale. Their 741 lb. steer s marked
256.25, the lighter steers 670 lb. marked 298.25. Miller Ranch’s 533 lb. Hereford steers
topped 357.00, their 566 lb. Hereford heifers sold to 326.00. Ralph Zwicker’s 923 lb. Her-
eford heifers traded to 206.75. Darcy Finch’s 391 lb. Red s/c rolled to 379.00, the 481 lb.
Angus steers hit 367.00. Cliff & Allison Schuk saw their 526 lb. Red s/c hit 365.00. Mar-
guerite Ranch’s 493 lb. steers sold to 365.00, the 715 lb. steers brought 270.00. San
Jose Cattle Co.’s 385 lb. Black h/c rolled to 341.00. The Buck Lake Ranch today
showcased 5 top quality Black Angus bulls. The top seller Buck Lake Bravo 521Z sold
to Murphy Meadows Ranch for 6000.00. Iris also bought the runner up high seller Buck
Lake 919A for 5750.00. Allan & Elsie Brigden with a heavy set of top steers today.
Their 990 lb. steers topped 209.00. Allan & Lorraine Sanford’s cows hit 143.50 at 1425 lb.
The next Williams Lake Regular Cattle Sale is Thursday April 2nd.

400 head of cattle sold in Vanderhoof. Jerry Petersen started the sale off with 660 lb. s/c
@ 291.00 for 1920.60 and Jerry’s 661 lb. h/c @ 289.50 for 1913.60. Ignac Vohar of
Prince George 450 lb. s/c @ 324.00 even. Jason Beier of Fort Fraser sold 502 lb. h/c for
332.00. Woodmere Cattle Co., Doug & Lorie Brook from Telkwa sold 658 lb. h/c
for 291.50 for 1918.04 per head and 453 lb. h/c for 345.25. Martin & Linda Dykens of
Houston sold 698 lb. heifers for 259.00 and 755 lb. Char X heifers for 246.00 for
1857.30. Garrett Ranch, Larry & Karen and Jeanie & Bill fired the r ing up with
their Black & BWF heifers 736 lb. heifers traded to 270.50 or 1990.88 along with their
608 lb. Angus heifers sold for 307.25 and their 579 lb. heifers sold for 313.00. Dave &
Cindy Johnson rocked the boat with their 530 lb. Angus X s/c for 360.00 for 1908.00
per head. Harold and Bonnie Moroski of Burns Lake sold 672 lb. s/c at 292.00 and 525
lb. h/c at 333.50. Poplar Meadows Angus 1575 lb. butcher cows traded for 140.00 even
or 2205.00 per head and their 982 lb. Angus X traded to 197.50. John Brienen sold 1471
lb. cows for 142.25. Cary Chenard sold 815 lb. Angus X heifers for 220.00 and 678 lb.
heifers at 274.00. Muir Stock Farm / Munro & Cindy Muir sold 1695 lb. butcher cows
for 133.50. Spencha Lake Ranch / Brian & Judy Wiebe sold 1044 lb. steers for 205.00
even. Vala Farms / John and Darla from Fort Fraser sold 1628 lb. butcher cows for
134.50 and John’s 2 Black bulls weighing 2230 lb. sold for 166.00 even.

ANGUS ADVANTAGE BULL SALE—MARCH 21st
Wayne & Jill Hughes 15th Annual Angus Advantage Bull Sale was a huge success
start to finish as they raised the price bar even higher at their 1st class sale of quality
bulls. This sale attracted buyers from as far east as Trail BC and Alberta and all through
the BC interior. The high seller 46B sold to the volume buyer Douglas Lake Cattle Co.
for 7400.00. Right behind the second high seller 52B sold to Pete & June Puhallo for
7250.00 and tied was 89B selling to the Maiden Creek Ranch for 7250.00. The Cold-
stream Ranch also a huge volume buyer . Ross Syme from Niton Junction Alber ta,
a volume buyer. Terry Wasylszyn from Vernon also a volume buyers. Bidding was
electric with this powerful sale racing with action from the minute the sale started. This
was one of the largest crowds we have ever seen. Thank you to Wayne & Jill for one
incredible group of bulls and to all the bidders and buyers for all their support.
OK FALLS SALE—MARCH 23RD
Again a beautiful mix of feeder cattle and butcher cows and bulls with 250 head on offer.
Ian & Bev Smith put the power to our butcher cow trade with 1340 lb. cows at
141.00. Brenda Leir saw her 2105 lb. butcher bulls top 163.00. The Wayhome
Ranch 1530 lb. butcher cow notched 138.50. The Dumont Ranch saw their 1411 lb.
butcher cows mark 138.00. Thomas Ranches heavy 1730 lb. butcher cows put a mark at
134.50. Feeder Cattle were on fire. Keith & Marnie Manders saw their fancy 498 lb. s/c
race to 355.00. Robert Wiens saw his 627 lb. Black Angus s/c mark 313.00, their 683 lb.

Another wall of cattle here in Kamloops as 700 head of cattle hit the sale ring. Today was
again an excellent mix of yearlings, calves, and butcher cows/bulls. Brady Ranches put
the power to the butcher bull trade with 1915 lb butcher bulls at 164.50. John Harrison had
2210 lb. butcher bulls top at 168.75 Wayne & Jill Hughes saw their 2120 lb. bull mark
169.00 with 1505 lb. cows marking 139.75. Wayne & Jackie Vansickle had 2015 lb.
butcher bulls today top 170.50. Duteau Creek Holdings 1435 lb. butcher cows from Lum-
by topped 141.00. Red Rock Farms from Westwold put the action to our feeder trade with
745 lb. BWF steers marking 261.00. 17 head of their 726 lb. heifers, all replacement type
traded to 252.00, the 580 lb. saw 315.00. Fennell Ranches showcased their h/c today. 526
lb. red/black Angus marking 327.00, the lighter h/c’s –400 lb’s raced to 359.00. Dave
Cunningham’s 613 lb. black Angus steers sold to 326.00, the 660 lb heifer s sold to
269.00. Balmoral Farms from Tappen had 453 lb. BWF s/c top 359.00. Jordan Man-
ning from Cache Creek had 519 lb. BWF s/c top 335.00. Big Rock Farms 667 lb.
black s/c hit 302.50, then 595 lb. s/c rolled to 332.00. Pat Lawrence saw his 611 lb. red
steers sell to 325.00, his 706 lb. red baldie replacement heifers reached 249.75. Forest
Lakewoods 665 lb. Angus steers brought 302.00, 635 lb. red heifer s brought 268.00.
Steven Jontz, with an excellent pen of steers, this week. Their 602 lb. Red & Red
Baldie steers raced to 331.00, their 664 lb. steers took 302.00. The Indian Gardens Ranch
had 767 lb. steers trade to 258.50, their load of 658 lb. steers hit 302.25.
Next week March 31st is one incredible sale of Purebred Red Angus breeding bulls, plus
Purebred Hereford bulls. Along with 300 head of feeder steers & heifers this sale is well
worth attending.
