Is Fresh really BEST? Canned and frozen fruits and vegetables

can be just as nutritious as fresh. You just want to make sure you

choose vegetables with “low sodium” or “no salt added” and fruit

canned in juice, not syrup.

Quinoa is “OLD” News! Quinoa isn’t new, it’s actually an

ancient grain that was once used for medicinal purposes.

Substitute quinoa for rice in recipes or the pasta in your pasta

salad.

Rosemary & Zucchini Flatbread

w/ Grape Salad ½ cup thinly sliced zucchini

¼ cup grated part-skim mozzarella

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 cup halved grapes

2 tablespoons sliced almonds

1 whole-grain flatbread

Preparation: Preheat the oven to 350 ̊ F.

Warm 1 whole-grain flatbread on a baking

sheet for 7 minutes.

Remove from the oven and top with zucchini,

grated part-skim mozzarella, and dried

rosemary.

Bake 7 more minutes (or until the cheese has

melted.)

Mix grapes and sliced almonds in a separate

bowl.

Serve flatbread warm or at room temperature

with the grape salad & enjoy!
