    DU strives to use the latest technology, not only toidentiy high priority landscapes in which to work, butalso to deliver on-the-ground wetland conservation.For over 79 years, DU has been the leader in wetlandconservation, most notably through wetland protection,restoration and enhancement projects.

    DU works closely with private landowners acrossthe state. Ranchers and DU have two very importantthings in common….they both need grass and water

    on the landscape. Many o DU’s programs work wellwith the ranching community and fit right in withtheir needs. DU has also been at the ore ront onwinter cereal grain technology. Research has shownthat nesting waterowl can be successul in the springnesting period by selecting nest sites in winter wheat.  o date, DU has restored, enhanced and protectedover 94,277 acres and offered echnical Assistance onan additional 69,611 acres right here in Montana. DUhas completed 692 projects and spent over $24.7 millionin the state.

      Phillips County, Montana has the distinction ohaving more dollars spent and more projects completedthan any other single county in the United States.  In Valley County alone, DU has delivered$2,209,991 worth o projects that have impacted nearly8,637 acres. In Montana, Ducks Unlimited invests $3or every $1 that is raised locally.  Tere are currently 35 active DU chapters inMontana and in 2015 those chapters raised over$812,000 or DU’s conservation mission. Tere are over

    500 chapter volunteers who help Montana DU withits undraising efforts. Without those volunteers thedollars that Montana DU raises would not be possible.  Your local Missouri/Milk River chapter o DucksUnlimited will be holding its annual und raising banqueton Saturday March 12 at 5:30 P.M. at the CottonwoodInn.
