This program provides student resources for career and life planning, as well as ways to track high school credit attainment, create a high school plan, complete career interest inventories, create resumes and research career, work and educational opportunities. The career plan portfolio, developed using myBlueprint as part of student home room periods, is expected to be shared by students as part of student-led conferences. myBlueprint is Canada’s leading education and career/life planning resource used in over 3,000 schools across Canada by 600,000+ students. The ministry license provides all Saskatchewan divisions and First Nations education organizations access at no cost, including all features, training and support. SR. BADMINTON: Practices are Wednesday and Thursday after school till 4:30. Mrs. Farrell is our coach. JR. BADMINTON: Practices are Tuesday and Friday after school till 4:30. Mrs. Carver is our coach. ROOKIE BADMINTON: Practices are Monday after school till 4:30 pm. Mrs. Vollbrecht is our coach. TRACK AND FIELD: Will be starting after Easter. Mrs. Kerr is our coach. STUDENT LED CONFERENCES: Student led conferences will be on Wednesday, April 18 th and Thursday, April 19 th . Notices will be emailed to the parents after the Easter break. NEXT NEWSLETTER: Our next newsletter will be on April 12 th . Deadline for submissions is Tuesday, April 10 th . NUTRITION MONTH: March is Nutrition Month. This year’s campaign has five topics that explore the theme “Unlock the Potential of Food”: potential to fuel, potential to discover, potential to bring us together, potential to heal and potential to prevent. To find more resources including 5 fact sheets and 15 recipes please visit www.NutritionMonth2018.ca. DRIVER`S EDUCATION: All students that would like to enroll in high school Driver`s Education must have an SGI customer number to enroll at the time they become eligible to take the program at their school. The SGI customer number can be set up at any age at your local issuing office. It would be to your son/daughters advantage to have it set up well in advance to avoid any issues at the time of their course start date. MOVIE NIGHT: Grace United Church is hosting a movie night on Good Friday, March 30th. The movie being presented is “Jesus Christ Superstar”, and starts at 7:00 pm. Popcorn and pop will be available. All are welcome! For more information please contact Rev. Allan Gairns at (306) 722-3552

MIGHTY MACHINES: On Wednesday, June 20th Main Street will be closed from Parker Avenue to Wesley Avenue from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. Mighty Machine day will start at 11:30 am with a burger sale, book sale and an opportunity to see and play on all the Mighty Machines! BOOK SALE: Will be held on Wednesday, June 20th. If you have any gently used books that you would like to donate, please drop off at the Fillmore Public Library. FILLMORE AND DISTRICT MINOR SPORTS: Registration for minor baseball has begun for the 2018 season! If your child is interested in playing baseball this year, or if you have questions regarding minor baseball, please contact us via email at [email protected]. We are also looking for coaches and assistant coaches! Registration forms will also be coming out soon. There will be a registration information night on Tuesday, April 10th at 7:00 pm at the Fillmore Rec. Center. Fillmore and District Minor Sports is also looking to see if there is any interest in youth soccer this year. If interested, please contact [email protected] Fillmore and District Minor Sports is asking any parents who may still have uniforms and/or equipment belonging to minor sports to make arrangements to have it returned. We need to take inventory of what we have and need for the coming year. Your assistance is very much appreciated!

ALICE IN WONDERLAND: Come out and join in our Madhatters Tea Party! Tyvan Kidz Club and Encore Dance will be performing a production of "Alice in Wonderland" on April 14th as a fund raiser for the Fillmore Community Hall at the hall itself starting at 2 pm. You, the audience get an experience boy! You will be served up at this wild tea party! The production will include 40+ pre-school and k-12 students. There will be character autographs and an 'in character' photo shoot too! Be camera ready! And ready for some good laughs! The purpose of the Kidz Club is to cultivate fun, creative community spirit and bonding between kids and parents in our small community. All kids performing get a fun and free drama camp the week prior to the production. If you'd like to support this special event in support of the Filllmore Community Hall and our community kids by donating, we all would be so grateful! LIONS MD5 YOUTH CAMP

Where: Camp Kinship at Sioux Falls, South Dakota When: July 15 to 21, 2018 How: Fillmore Lions Club will arrange transportation for all participants to and from camp. You must have a valid passport to travel to the U.S.A. Applications who have never attended a MD5 camp wil be funded totally by the Fillmore Lions Club ($400). Students who have attended a camp before may have to pay part of the $400 fee. Applicants must be between the ages of 16 to 19 by July 15, 2018. Students must sign up at the school by February 28th – no exceptions, extensions or changes!!! If you have any questions call Marna Allan at (306) 536-0661. This is an awesome opportunity to meet students from dozens of other countries. Lions Youth Exchange began in 1962 with the objective to CREATE AND FOSTER A SPIRIT OF UNDERSTANDING AMONG PEOPLES OF THE WORLD.
