It will involve the reconstruction of Edwards Road from US1 to Oleander Avenue. e reconstruction includes roadway, curb and gutter, drainage, and utilities. ere will be no changes to the existing typical section of the roadway. e County has received emergency funding from FHWA that will cover a portion of the cost. Cost: $4,600,000 Schedule: TBD Update: e County issued the Notice-to-Proceed on February 20, 2019 for Inwood and AACE to start the survey and data collection. e County is working with the FDOT on a time extension and a schedule. e team continues to work on a design-build scope of services. Awaiting the ACOE permit review and/or issuance. It is anticipated the scope of services should be scheduled for the March 19, 2019 BOCC meeting for their review and consideration. KINGS HIGHWAY AND INDRIO ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS Scope: e project will widen the existing two-lane road to four-lane divided road to handle future expected traffic. Roadway widening will include the construction of dedicated leſt and right turn lanes. In addition to the added travel lanes, project work includes a 12-foot shared use path and a 6-foot-wide sidewalk throughout. Drainage improvements to the project include new stormwater ponds, relocation of approximately 1,900 feet of the FPFWCD Canal #4 and the installation of approximately 1,300 feet of new box culvert. Estimated Cost: $18,000,000 Schedule: Completion expected August 2019. Update: Installation of Kings Highway and Indrio Road subgrade, curb, and drainage continues. A change order requesting two weather days and the addition of six line items for a cost of $0.00 to the project is being scheduled for the March 19, 2019 BOCC meeting for their review and consideration. e County is submitting various change orders to FDOT requesting funding participation for various project items. A meeting is scheduled for the first week in March with representatives from the FDOT, SLC and the City of Ft. PRIMA VISTA BOULEVARD (U.S. 1 TO BANYAN DRIVE) Scope: This project will involve the removal and replacement of the storm drainage trunkline and two cross drain pipes on Prima Vista Boulevard between U.S. 1 and Banyan Drive. Cost: $650,000 Schedule: Completion of design expected by the end of 2018. Update:
• The project was advertised for bid on January 20, 2019. • A pre-bid meeting was held on February 6, 2019. Bids were opened on February 20, 2019. The
bids are currently under review. • The project will be constructed with the Prima Vista Boulevard Resurfacing project.
PRIMA VISTA BOULEVARD RESURFACING Scope: As part of the November Infrastructure Referendum, the County is Planning for Success. This project will involve the milling and resurfacing of Prima Vista Boulevard from U.S. 1 to Airoso Boulevard, including improvements to pedestrian curb ramps and signals to meet ADA requirements. Cost: $1,500,000 (Dependent upon Referendum) Schedule: Completion of design expected by the end of 2018. Update:
• The project was advertised for bid on January 20, 2019. • A pre-bid meeting was held on February 6, 2019. Bids were opened on February 20, 2019. The
bids are currently under review. • The project will be constructed with the Prima Vista Boulevard Resurfacing project. • An RFQ was advertised for CEI services for the project.
BRIDGE #944010 – GORDY ROAD BRIDGE OVER 10 MILE CREEK Scope: The Gordy Road Bridge over 10 Mile Creek was built in 1987 and the wood decking has been replaced and repaired on multiple occasions. Steel plates have been installed on the decking as a temporary repair. The replacement bridge is proposed for design. Estimated Cost: Design of the Bridge Replacement is $230,000 Construction is estimated at $1,500,000 Schedule: Bridge Replacement Design to begin in Fall 2018. Update:
• Design continues, 30% plans are due in March. • Typical section will be one lane with pedestrian accommodation with the ability to expand to
two lanes in the future.
BRIDGE #940029 – OLD DIXIE HIGHWAY (CR 605) OVER TAYLOR CREEK Scope: The Old Dixie Highway Bridge over Taylor Creek was built in 1962. The bridge was inspected by a County consultant following Hurricane Irma. The County received a letter from FDOT on January 16, 2018 noting Significant Bridge Deficiencies. The bridge was closed to traffic on January 25, 2018 due to safety concerns. Estimated Cost: $2,500,000 Schedule: To be determined. Update:
• The replacement of the bridge was determined to be a one-way lane bridge with the East Coast Greenway Trail adjacent to the travel lane.
• A proposal for design of the bridge was requested from the consultant.

COUNTY BRIDGE REPAIRS Scope: This project includes major and minor repair of bridges throughout the County. The various repairs are related to deferred maintenance and Hurricane Irma. The following bridges are included in the project. • Bridge #940030 – McCarty Road (CR 712A) over 10-Mile Creek (South) • Bridge #940037 – Keen Road over Taylor Creek • Bridge #940015 – Selvitz Road (CR 611B) over 10-Mile Creek • Bridge #940067 – Kirby Loop Road over 5-Mile Creek • Bridge #940071 – Johnston Road (CR 603) over SFWMD C-25 • Bridge #940019 – Carlton Road (CR 613) over SFWMD C-24 • Bridge #940026 – Rangeline Road (CR 609) over SFWMD C-23 • Bridge #940018 – Shinn Road over SFWMD C-24 • Bridge #9400138 – Eleven Mile Road over 10-Mile Creek Estimated Cost: Design $120,000 and Construction $2.5M Schedule: Design to begin in July and Construction to begin FY 19/20 Update: This project has been put on hold due to lack of funding.
CHRISTENSEN ROAD @ NSLRWCD CANAL 102 Scope: The existing 84” corrugated metal culvert, previously lined approximately two (2) years ago, and the surrounding area sustained significant damage during Hurricane Irma. The project will replace and extend the existing 84” culvert and include the armoring of the canal banks. Estimated Cost: $400,000; Low Bid $240,256.50 Schedule: Construction Complete March 2019 Update:
• A request was made to NRCS for an extension of the agreement time on December 21, 2018. • The project is substantially complete. Final walkthrough is scheduled the first week of March.
IDEAL HOLDING ROAD AT NSLRWCD CANAL 76 – PHASE II Scope: The replacement of a 72” corrugated metal pipe culvert, beginning at the western termination of the Phase I improvements, with a corrugated aluminum pipe. The banks of the canal along the eastern slopes will be armored with riprap rubble. Estimated Cost: $165,000 Schedule: Completion expected Fall 2018. Update: Final asphalt and striping has been put down. Awaiting final paperwork to close out the project.
KOBLEGARD ROAD @ FPFWCD CANALS 10, 11, 12, AND 13 Scope: Routine inspections have identified deterioration of the culverts located at Koblegard Road and FPFWCD Canals 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13. The project will install Cured-In-Place pipe liners within the culverts and stabilize the shoulders at the culvert crossings. Estimated Cost: $400,000 Schedule: Spring 2019. Update: This project has been put on hold due to lack of funding. MIDWAY ROAD 2600 FT EAST OF SHINN ROAD Scope: A Midway Road Culvert Study (Study) was completed in 2014. The Study identified the need for the removal and replacement of approximately 48 feet of an 18” cross drain under Midway Road at North St. Lucie River Water Control District (NSLRWCD) Canal 84. The condition of the pipe had deteriorated and needs to be replaced. Estimated Cost: Design $50,215; Construction $220,000 Schedule: Spring 2019. Update:
• 100% plans submitted, awaiting final permits. • Project to be constructed with the Midway Road at Shinn Road project.

MIDWAY ROAD @ SHINN ROAD Scope: A Midway Road Culvert Study (Study) was completed in 2014. The Study identified the need for the removal and replacement of approximately 48 feet of a 48” cross drain under Midway Road at Shinn Road into North St. Lucie River Water Control District (NSLRWCD) Canal 84. The condition of the pipe had deteriorated and needs to be replaced. Estimated Cost: Design $43,000; Construction $300,000 Schedule: Spring 2019. Update:
• 60% plans to be submitted in March 2019. • Project to be constructed with the Midway Road 2600 ft. east of Shinn Road project.
MIDWAY ROAD @ NSLRWCD CANAL 22 Scope: A dive inspection was done and discovered that there is undermining of the headwall and the pipe on the south side. This project will repair the undermining of the wall and pipe. Estimated Cost: $80,000 Schedule: TBD. Update: Engineering’s comments on design proposal returned to C&T on February 19, 2019.
MIDWAY ROAD @ NSLRWCD CANAL 92 Scope: A Midway Road Culvert Study (Study) was completed in 2014. The Study identified the need for the removal and replacement of approximately 68 feet of a 96” cross drain under Midway Road at North St. Lucie River Water Control District (NSLRWCD) Canal 92. The condition of the pipe has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. Estimated Cost: Design $45,000; Construction $500,000 Schedule: Spring 2019. Update:
• 100% plans have been submitted and reviewed. Comments have been provided to the consultant. The revisions have be completed.
• Applications for all permits have been submitted to all the required agencies. • Project to be constructed with the Midway Road @ NSLRWCD Canal 93 project.
MIDWAY ROAD @ NSLRWCD CANAL 93 Scope: A Midway Road Culvert Study (Study) was completed in 2014. The Study identified the need for the removal and replacement of approximately 48 feet of a 36” cross drain under Midway Road at North St. Lucie River Water Control District (NSLRWCD) Canal 93. The condition of the pipe has deteriorated and needs to be replaced. Estimated Cost: Design $25,000; Construction $240,000 Schedule: Spring 2019. Update:
• The 100% plans submitted, awaiting final permits. • Project to be constructed with Midway Road @ NSLRWCD Canal 92 project.
PEACOCK ROAD @ NSLRWCD CANAL 78 Scope: Dual 72” corrugated metal culverts on Peacock Road just north of Canal C24 Road have failed due to flooding from Hurricane Irma. Peacock Road was closed to through traffic on October 25, 2017. Cost: $400,000 Schedule: 2019 Update: Design is complete pending comments from the permitting agencies.

RUSSO ROAD AT FPFWCD CANAL 6 (EMERSON RD) Scope: The existing 48” and 36” corrugated metal pipe culverts located within FPFWCD Canal 6 will be replaced with a 60” corrugated aluminum pipe culvert. The proposed pipe will be extended and the slope and banks armored with riprap rubble. Estimated Cost: $300,000 Schedule: Spring 2019 Update: 90% plans have been received and are under review.
SELVITZ ROAD @ NSLRWCD CANAL 102 Scope: The culvert failed and was lined as a repair; making the culvert smaller in diameter and not meeting capacity requirements. This project will replace the culvert and bring capacity to meet current and future Estimated Cost: $600,000 Schedule: TBD. Update: Notice-to-Proceed for design was issued on February 20, 2019.
VERADA DITCH CALMOSO SECTION Scope: Verada Ditch from SE Calmoso Drive to SE Lucero Drive sustained slope damage from Hurricane Irma on both the east and west sides of the ditch. This project will repair the damage to the slopes on the west side and provide reinforcement of the slopes on the east side of the ditch. Estimated Cost: $1,100,000 Schedule: Completion expected by March 2019. Update:
• Work on the Gabions has begun. • Earthwork activities are ongoing. • Installation of the anchors has also begun. • A request was made to NRCS for an extension of the agreement time on December 21, 2018.
COUNTYWIDE FIBER OPTIC CABLE (FOC) Scope: Countywide Fiber Optic Cable will be an ongoing, several year project to interconnect the traffic signals and communications. Some of the locations in Phase 1 will tie into the ATMS project that is being done by the FDOT, and will expand the FOC system to include several additional signals. Phase 1 of the Countywide FOC includes the following locations: • Indrio Rd – from US1 to I-95, • 25th St – from Midway Rd to Virginia Ave • Edwards Rd – from Oleander Ave to Selvitz Rd • Bell Ave – from Oleander Ave to 25th Street • Selvitz Rd – from Midway Rd to Edwards Rd Estimated Cost: $2,000,000 Schedule: TBD Update: Proposal has been added to the BOCC agenda for approval at the meeting on March 19, 2019.
