Mt. Carmel

College Basketball coined the phrase “March Madness” to define their postseason play. Between all of the tournament games and the excitement that goes along with the unpredict-ability of the bracket, it can only be described as “madness!” The month of March at Mt. Carmel Community is full of excitement too! We have lots of St. Patrick-themed activities to start off the month. On St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17th, we are having a St. Patrick’s Day Party at 10:30! The highlight of our party will be trying your luck at playing Clover Bingo! But bring along your lucky rabbit’s foot, four-leaf clover, or lucky charm because we’ll also be drawing

for prizes! Be sure to wear something green and come be a part of the fun as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day the Mt. Carmel way! We will also be celebrating college basketball this month with “Hoops” Bingo and Ping Pong Basketball! Join us as we welcome spring with crafts and games that celebrate the changing of the season. We’ll turn our thoughts toward Easter at the month’s end.

Special Days in March

Beginning this month we will be offering a new fitness class lead by Marliisa Yarberry. Marliisa, a certified yoga instructor, teaches several classes at McClure Fitness in Benton and will begin leading an Arm Chair Yoga class twice a month right here in our own Fitness Room! You can experience the benefits of yoga while seated in a chair, reducing the risk of injury! Join us at 9:00 on Wednesday, March 11th and March 25th and you’ll discover how yoga can help you with balance strength, improved flexibility, increased muscle tone and lung capacity.

New Arm Chair Yoga Class

Time will spring forward one hour on Sunday, March 8th. Daylight Saving Time starts on the second Sunday in March and ends the first Sunday in November. Winston Churchill once described Daylight Saving Time as, “an extra yawn one morning in the springtime, an extra snooze one night in the autumn.” The discomfort of losing one hour of sleep is well worth the extra hour of precious sunlight we get to enjoy everyday until November! Set your clock ahead one hour at bedtime on Saturday, March 7th.
