BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS: Congratulations to Megan Johnston who is celebrating
her birthday today. Congratulations also to Reese Lumley-Druer, and Judy Dumont who will be celebrating their birthdays in this coming week. May God bless
your celebrations.
FAMILY CIRCLE: Continue to keep Mary Lou Snary in your prayers as she recovers from
her recent surgery. Pray for a full and complete recovery for Mary Lou. Keep Everet and Irene Kraayenbrink in your prayers in this time of transitions. Pray for strength, comfort,
and peace for them. Pray for all our seniors, those who suffer illnesses, and those who are lonely or shut-in. May they feel God’s presence in their lives and may He bring healing.
YOUTH GROUP: This week we have cancelled the Tuesday March 21st meeting and instead
we will be bowling on THURSDAY March 23rd in Sarnia. Please be at the church at 6:00
so we can arrive for a 7:00 pm start. The bowling for the youth will be paid but if you want snacks please bring your own money. Please let us know by Tuesday March 14th if you will be
bowling so we can arrange for drivers. Parents we are in need of some volunteer drivers so if you are able to assist, please advise a youth leader. Next week Tuesday, March 28th is a
regular meeting. See You Thursday!!!
PROFESSION OF FAITH CLASSES: Profession of Faith Classes will be starting soon.
Anyone interested in taking this class both young and old please speak to Pastor Josh. This class is open to all and does not have to lead to making Profession of Faith. If interested or

WATOTO CHILDREN’S CHOIR: We are excited to announce the Watoto Children’s Choir
will be with us on April 1 at 6:30 pm at Bethel Pentecostal Church. Join us for a vibrant worship experience. The sound of a transformed generation from a family of orphans.

Youth Service. Speaker will be Pastor Willemina Zwart and worship will be led by our youth. Refreshments to follow.
SOUP AND BUN DINNER: Join us this Tuesday, March 21 for a Soup and Bun Dinner from 5:30 – 7 pm. Come out for a hot and delicious bowl of soup or chili. Cost is on a
donation basis and all money raised will go to our missionaries Pastor Glenn and Laura Adams in Bolivia. Come out for a great night of fellowship and sharing a meal together while
supporting a great cause. All are welcome!!!
Early Announcement: A choir, organ and Pan flute concert is planned for DV Saturday
April 8 2017 7.30 PM in the First Christian Reformed Church Corner Murphy rd and Exmouth st in Sarnia. Andre Knevel organ and Liselotte Rokyta Pan flute will be in concert with
the “Sursum Corda” male choir. Tickets already available at the Dutch shop Lambton Mall
rd. Adults $ 15. Youth $ 10 children 10 and under are free.

Council New from March 14, 2017
1. Council approved registration funding for 2 or 3 leaders to go with 10 of our
youth to the All Ontario Youth Convention in May at a cost of approximately
$260 each.
2. Council approved contributing $450 CAD each for Valerie K, Nicolina B, and
Tonda G to attend the Annual Gems Leadership Conference at Dort College
in Iowa in July.
3. Council approved the Hospitality Committee to host a Soup and Bun Dinner
Fundraiser on Tuesday, March 21 to raise additional funds for a new vehicle
for Pastor Glenn and Laura Adams.
4. Save the date for a free Community Breakfast to be held on April 22 from
8:30 am to 10:30 am. Talk to any member of the Hospitality Committee to
volunteer to help.
5. Council approved various church bookings.
6. Council adopted the new council nomination timeline. Council is asking the
congregation for nominations for office bearers. Retiring Elders are
Charley Feddes and John Lubbers and retiring Deacon is Casey DePooter.
Please prayerfully consider who you feel are gifted for these tasks. Please
submit your signed nominations to any member of council. For your
convenience, a table is provided at the end of the bulletin that you may use
to submit your nominations before the next council meeting. The date of the
next council meeting is April 11, 2017. Please have all nominations to
council before April 11th. Thank-You. Please note: nominations are not
limited to the 4 spots on the form in the bulletin.
