Capital Campaign UpdateThe new back doors have arrived! The new doors have arrived and will be painted and installed soon. Thank you for your continued support of our cap-ital campaign. We hope to begin the audio/visual upgrade soon. Thank you for those who continue to contribute to this fund. The Capital Campaign has purchased the new back doors. Our next project will be the A/V upgrade in the sanctuary, followed by some ex-terior lighting updates. We are moving along thanks to your generosity. We are projecting that our expenses will exceed the $75,000, (because of the increased door cost) but our pledges

are on track to exceed our goal because of a generous donation to help with the door cost. If you would like to con-tribute to the capital campaign, your donations are welcome. Thank you!

Safe and SoundAre you interested in making our building safer and more secure? I am looking for some team players will-ing to sit down and brainstorm some positive steps to make our building a safer and more secure place. We will be looking at both current policies and procedures, suggestions from our in-surance company, and other ideas that are unique to our downtown location.

Stories of TransformationWould you be willing to share your story of transformation? I am look-ing for voices in our newsletter or on Sunday morning to share stories of transformation. If you email me some-thing, make sure you indicate whether or not you are willing to have it shared with the congregation.Peace, Pastor Matt

Join FEDICE and the Oregon & SW Idaho Christian Church for a mission trip to Ecuador! Among other places, the trip will probably include a visit to Maca Atápulo, a small community high in the Andes mountains. The trip is slated for sometime in June or August (exact dates to be determined). We would like to get an idea of who and how many people would be inter-ested in this amazing mission oppor-tunity. Trip costs will be determined by the number of participants and ar-rangements (all yet to be determined).

The wonderful thing about a FEDICE mission trip is the concept of “minga” - the community working together. Volunteers from the Regional church work with and alongside people of the local community - sharing in the work and learning about each other. If you have any questions or are inter-ested in this trip, contact Neil Allen - phone: (503) 707-6689, email: [email protected] or Bernice Rivera at the Regional church office, phone: (503) 226-7648.

Dear First Christian Church, We can’t thank you enough for part-nering with the mission and work of Northwest Christian University. Your recent contribution of $806.00 helps us provide a strong academic experience sharpened by a life-ordering focus on Christ. As we integrate wisdom, faith, and service into our curricular and co-curricular programs, we’re committed to helping students identify and answer God’s call in their lives. NCU is a change place. Your gift trans-forms the lives of students, preparing them to live as change agents in the world. Thank you for caring about NCU and

especially our students. Please don’t hesitate to tell us how we can help you or how we can make your dreams for helping more students come true. There are many creative ways to fund and grow this work. It would be a privilege to talk more.God bless you! Thank you for being a part of our university.
