COSMETIC LINE CAMPAIGN
Fresh Face from Hollywood to Match Cosmetic Line’s Latest Invigorating Image
NEW YORK, NY— Marc Jacobs Cosmetics are eminent to announce today that
American actress Emma Stone has signed on to represent the cosmetic line and appear
in its 2014 global campaign.
Since the founding of Marc Jacobs Cosmetics, the line had always been a complement
to the creator’s signature fashion line Marc Jacobs, aiming towards women that
luxuriate in minimalistic couture. To reinforce its avant-garde and elegant image, Marc
Jacobs Cosmetics gladly invited Uma Thurman and Liv Tyler to be its spokespersons
for 2012 and 2013 respectively.

Nonetheless, as Marc Jacobs International, L.L.C. underwent rebranding; the company has
repositioned itself to serve mainly women interested in effortless contemporary wear
for every day. Marc Jacobs Cosmetics, in accordance, has embraced the redirection and
decided to appoint a young Hollywood starlet to represent the brand; and the first
person of choice is naturally Emma Stone.
After her feature film début in a teen comedy Superbad in 2007, Emma Stone has since
taken part in various comedies. She broke out with the role of a high school virgin in
movie Easy A in 2010; securing her spot as one of Hollywood’s flourishing comedians.
“The Marc Jacobs Girl now is this refreshing and carefree young woman in her
twenties,” explained Robert Duffy, President and Vice-Chairman of Marc Jacobs
International, L.L.C., “Emma’s girl-next-door demeanor perfectly epitomizes our
label’s spirit and essence.”
In the campaign, not only will Stone be posing in the existing merchandises, but she
will also develop the line Emma Stone for Marc Jacobs Cosmetics with their makeup
artists. The partnership will introduce shimmer lipsticks, lip glosses, eye shadows,
blushes, bronzers, and nail varnishes in assorted color; and be sold in all retail stores
and at counters as well as online in summer 2014. Stand Up To Cancer, a non-profit
organization that raises money for the search for the cure for cancers which Emma
Stone is currently advocating for will receive 5% of the proceeds from the
collaboration as donation.

“I’m so excited to join the Marc Jacobs family!” Emma Stone exclaimed, “I’ve always
stolen my mom’s mascaras and lipsticks when I was small for dress ups; but I could
never have imagined of creating makeup myself.”
The first iteration with Emma will be expected to appear in Spring 2014 print ads, light
boxes, commercials, leaflets over-the-counter, and mail brochures. In addition, Emma
Stone is will also star in an artistry film for the Marc Jacobs Cosmetics website. Marc
Jacob’s favorite videographer Vaughn Vance, the creative genius behind the witty Marc
Jacobs 2012 Resort Collection video promotion, will be shooting the film in fashion
capitals New York, London, Milan and Paris.
“We will be shooting Emma as a girl who is always jet setting, for work or visiting
family and friends,” said Vance, “and she will always carry a lip gloss or blush powder
in her purse or pocket for quick touch-up at dinner or beach party, giving off a sweet
approachable vibe.”
