Khulio (Pty) Ltd was founded in 2013 by Siyabonga Khumalo and is the original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the VSI and VTD Hawker

Siddeley Range of Switchgear.

Siyabonga commands over 12 years’ experience as a Project Designer, and his experience includes Project Management and Application Designer

primarily for large Switchgear manufacturing companies.

*Khulio holds a Level 1 BEE rating.

Schematic Designs

To date schematic designs have been the main source of income for Khulio. They can be utilised in the design phase of a panel (switchgear) or for upgrading substa-

tions to the latest protection standards.

Upgrading LV-MV Control Equipment

Upgrading LV/MV Control EquipmentLV/MV Control Equipment are found in front a panel door.

Upgrading old LV/MV equipment (CDG Relays) to the latest protection equipment (IMT Relays) standards.

ARC Protection

ARC ProtectionArc Sensors are fitted in each compartment with their main purpose being the detec-

tion and isolation of identified ARC flashes.We currently offer:

Installation of ARC sensors and ARC sensor monitors; andUpgrading of ARC sensors in existing switchgear panels and sub-stations.

Installation, Maintenance and Servicing of VSI Vacuum Breakers

VSI Breakers are situated in the switchgear panel and after 1000 operations they require servicing of worn out parts and re-greasing of clusters.

We currently offer:

Replacement of out-dated oil circuit breakers by installation of VSI Breakers; andServicing of VSI Breakers.

Switchgear Panels

Servicing and installation of Bus Bars;Replacement of Current Transformers;

Replacement of Bushings; andReplacement of Voltage Transformers.

Installation, Testing and Commissioning on site.

6.6kV TO 12kV Mobile - Containerised Substations

Providing back up power as a quick solution in case of huge explosions in Substations.
