1. E V-KIT

1.1 INTRODUCTION

TULA (Tiny U ltrasonic Linear Actuator), as thesubm in iature motor using the piezoelectric phenomenon ofPZT ceramic, is developed for Zoom and AF(Auto focus) ofcamera lens, OIS(Optical Image Stabilizer) and Pick-up partfor next storage devices.

The purpose of TULA Evaluation-KIT (EV-KIT) is toassist the development of appl ication using TULA.With EV-KIT, you can understand the basic characteristicsof TULA Module (TM) by changing duty ratio, voltage andfrequency. I t is possible to control the position of TM withEV-KIT because of MR sensor (resolution : 5um ).For the test of a temperature change, temperature sensor ismounted on EV-KI T (optional) .

2. DEMO PROGRAM

2.1 INSTALLATION

1) Insert CD-ROM disc of Piezo Demo Program and copy the Execution folder in yourcomput er or other rest ore devices.

2) Run PiezoSdemo.exe. The following window appears.

2.2 SETTIN G AND OP ERATION

1) Click Port icon on menu bar and select COM1 or COM2

2) Click OK button on popup window

3) Click Confirm button on popup window

4) If you click Port again, communication port is closed

5) Write the proper value of Frequency and Pulse in textbox according to the type of

TULA and click the button of them.

Note : the value of Pulse must be +50 until setup is completed

6) The results are displayed on Received data window

7) Click Home button. If its operation is completed, the currentposition of TULA will be zero an d disp layed.

8) Click TULA Auto Tun ing but ton. It will tak e ar ound 5 seconds tobe done.
