Introduction to MAHB

The core activities of the company include the management, operation and

maintenance as well as development of airports with primary importance being placed on

the operational efficiency, safety and security of passengers, cargo and aircraft

operations. Besides its core business activities, MAHB has in its corporate structure, a

few subsidiary companies to offer a range of aviation and non- aviation-related products

and services.

The company’s revenue base is divided into 2 main categories, aeronautical

revenue and non-aeronautical revenue. Aeronautical revenue is mainly derived from

landing fees, aerobridge charges, check-in-counter charges, parking fees and the

passenger service charges.

Non-aeronautical revenue comprises revenue generated from commercial

activities, including duty free operations, hotel operations, free commercial zone

operations, management of parking facilities and the lease of commercial space.

Malaysia Airports is the operator and manager of Malaysia’s 39 airports which

comprise international, domestic and Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) ports.

MAHB also provides airport management services for the Phnom Penh

International Airport and Siem Reap International Airport in Cambodia through a joint-

venture arrangement with Aeroports de Paris Management S.A

Malaysia Airports owns a Training Centre (MATC), located near Penang

International Airport. It was established to cater for the training needs of all Malaysia

Airports personnel. MATC has also been used as a centre for security related programs

conducted by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In addition MATC

provides expertise on aviation security and safety matters to the Malaysian Government

and airlines.

About E-Learning

E-learning has become a major form of education. E-learning systems include

learning content, but also the infrastructure that allows content to be created, stored,

accessed, and delivered and the learning process to be managed. The architecture of these

e-learning systems is a crucial aspect. The architecture notion shall be deployed here in a

broad, integrative sense covering a range of facets, embracing software and information

architecture. The software architectures need to enable instruction and need to facilitate

the learning experience.

To improve the organizational management and structure, MAHB has use

traditional class were all staff , executive or top management should attend to class or

workshop and they have examination to scale the improvement. There are so many

advantages and disadvantages went MAHB still follow the traditional studying. So,

MAHB try to come out with the new technology to give or provide electronic learning to

all staff.

Electronic Learning is to provide the reader with an overview of the various

educational services provided by e-learning in MAHB platform. So that student can

access the information anywhere and anytime they want. In this respect, special attention

is given to the student and teacher activities, supported by the platform; course creation

and participation, evaluation and assessment exercises, on-line collaboration

environments for participating students and teachers, etc. This illustrated with various

screen-shoot, enabling the reader to become acquainted with the platform.

The objectives

1. To develop e-learning contents for more effectiveness deliverable to

students (use asp, Quick Do)

2. Design picture with align e-learning contents deliverable.

3. Another task is to develop e-learning contents for more effectiveness

deliverable to students (use Moodle open source)

4. To handle workshop and IT training for all staff Malaysia Airports

Holding Berhad.

A. Student

1. A new student need login to e-learning portal. (www.myairportshr4u-

elearning.info)

2. To login a student should have an account to make sure they can access

the information inside the website.

3. The student can create the new account by click the link Create new

account under the login button.

4. The student will go to the registration window.

5. The student should register using their e-mail and confirm their e-mail.

6. The student needs to insert a password for their account and confirm the

password.

7. The student need to give some information that can be a record to the

administration first name, surname, employee number, I.C number,

position, gender, bate of birth, department, address, phone number, and

also security question and it’s answer.

8. A verification account link will be send to the student’s e-mail

9. The student needs to click on the verification link so that the account can

be approved by admin and be use by the student.

10. Now the student can go trough to www.myairportshr4u-elearning.info to

access the portal.

11. The student can login using e-mail or username and password that been

register to the system.

12. The student need to take a pre-test before starts their lesson.

13. After answer all the test, the student can retrieve the information that

provide by the lecturers inside the portal.

14. Then the student can take a post test to observe his knowledge about the

course and subject.

15. After finish all the session the student need to logout from the system.

16. This to make sure that there are no problems occurred in the future related

to the user.

B. Registration process.

1. You can select a language for portal either English language or Bahasa

Malaysia.

2. On you login column, click on “Create New Account”. Fill out the

New Account form with your details.

3. You should register using your e-mail and confirm your e-mail.

4. You need to insert a password for your account and confirm the password.

5. Your password may contain any characters, numerical, alphabetical except

space.

6. You need to give some information that can be a record to the

administration such as first name, surname, employee number, I.C

number, position, and gender, date of birth, department, address, and

phone number.

7. You need to provide a security question and its answer to secure your

account then click “create my new account” button

C. Login process

E. Learning process

1. To start learning process you need to take a pre test.

2. After you settled the pre test you can click on the link topic.

F. Test procedure.

There are 2 type of test. First is pre test and second is post test.

a) Pre test.

1. Pre test is compulsory to all students. Student must take a pre test before

they can start the lesson.

2. You can attempt pre test as much as you want. The time limit of pre test is

30 minutes.

G. Updating personal profile

1. You can view and update your profile by click your name on top right

corner of the portal.

2. You will see your profile and other tab such as “Edit profile”, “Forum

post”, and “Blog”.
