Manga Drawing Workshop Konnichiwa! My name is Madi Martin, you might remember me from the Japanese workshops I have run in partnership with Living Learning. This time around I would like to offer the chance to take part in a four week Manga Class- Manga is the word for Japanese comics, over the last twenty years manga has taken the world by storm and Anime/Manga is currently the most mimicked art form in the world - with titles catering for children and adults alike. In this four week course, students will learn about the different genres and style of manga - from shoujo to shonen, they will learn how to use the techniques used by actually Mangakas (Manga artists), discover light and shade, perspective and more! The children will be learning in a fun, supportive and exciting environment. The children will be taught the basics of drawing manga, we will also be working towards an end of course project where each child will be able to express themselves in their own respective movie style posters - with their own characters and attached storyline. WHO? This class is for children seven and over WHERE? Lawson Neighbourhood Centre WHEN?
