So what is stress? Any outside force
that has an effect on our body or mind.
A physical, mental, or emotional response to events that causes bodily or mental tension.
We create our own stress through deadlines
The more unrealistic the expectations the greater the stress
It’s hip to be busy, even if it’s stressful
Does this spell success?
We lose perspective
We face stress in all our daily roles

The only thing you directly control is you
OK I know stress and I know problems, give me the fix!
The truth is I don’t have a fix But the good

In a crisis we have 2 choices
Fight or flight
Our body and mind may tense up
Think of alternate plans
Plan C & D are good too
We carry around blame and resentment
We suppress feelings and emotions
Forgiveness
No one’s perfect, go easy with criticism
But if you must, try this
Warning: Very Hot; This criticism-sandwich should be handled with care
Ask will it matter 100 years from now?
Accept people as they are
OK it’s easier said, but it does work!
Simplify your life
Remember you, your relationships and life are not perfect
And neither is the tower of Pisa, but it is still standing
Have big dreams
But face reality
Separate Needs from Wants
Ask is it nice or necessary?
Live in the present
Take one thing at a time, one minute at a timeYesterday is gone, tomorrow has yet to arrive.
Exercise & eat well
You know regular exercise & good nutrition takes the blues away
A little prayer goes a long way
So just to recap Change is inevitable It’s natural to resist
change We deal and cope
with change in different ways
The more we start to accept life and people with all its warts the less stress all the way round.
“Life is change. Growth is optional. Choose wisely.”
