Making the Move
As Alzheimer’s Disease and other
dementia-related diseases progress,
caregiving becomes more difficult.
Whether your loved one has been living in
his or her own home or sharing one with
you, there often comes a time when
moving becomes inevitable.
Now that you’ve made your personal care
home selection, you’re probably
wondering, “How am I going to get her
there? What will he think? Will she be
mad at me?” The dread, anxiety and guilt
can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t
have to. We are with you along the way!
It’s Moving Day
On Moving Day we can:
Handle the transportation of your
loved one and a few essential personal
belongings.
Show him around, introduce her to
other people, explain important details
about her new home and spend the
time needed for him or her to feel
comfortable.
Call to provide you with an update
when we’re finished.
Offer additional support services
beyond Moving Day.
Moving Day is Approaching
Elder Healthcare Solutions, LLC provides a
transitional support program, “Making the
Move”, designed to minimize your stress and
assist your loved one with making a
successful transition to his or her new home
environment.
It’s our job to ensure the smoothest transition
possible and alleviate some of your stress,
anxiety and guilt. Prior to moving day we can:
Meet with you to determine a plan for
moving your loved one. We focus on
your loved one’s physical move. EHS isn’t
a moving company, but can recommend
one for you.
Meet your loved one and spend time
getting to know one another. Although
he or she may have memory impairment,
a warm introduction can go a long way.
