MAKING AN IMPACTThanks to the generous support of our Leadership Donors, Rappahannock United Way has been able to achieve extraordinary results during the past year:
$247,000 invested in 10 education-focused programs. Over the past year, these programs served over 1,590 children and adults, preparing them for success in school and giving them the skills needed for the changing workforce.
$291,000 invested in 7 income-focused programs. Over the past year, more than 2,500 individuals benefitted from programs that help individuals sustain financial self-reliance through employment and positive financial practices.
$435,250 invested in 16 health-focused programs. Over the past year more than 9,600 individuals have been impacted by programs encouraging everything from infant wellness to senior health, and focusing on such issues as domestic violence safety planning, nutrition, dental health and diabetes prevention.
BASIC NEEDS$42,500 invested in 4 basic needs-focused programs serving more than 7,400 individuals in need of food assistance or critical home repairs, allowing households to stabilize their housing situation and prevent eviction or foreclosure.
Leadership Giving offers you the opportunity to make an impact that is so much greater than any of us can achieve alone. You can improve lives through an investment in our community. If you are already a Leadership donor, thank you! If not, please join us! For more information on Leadership Giving, Estate Planning, or gifts of stocks and securities, please contact Ann Jones at 540-373-0041 ext.304.

WE RECOGNIZE YOUR GENEROSITY Rappahannock United Way’s Leadership Giving Circle is comprised of community leaders and concerned individuals who provide support to our community through their most generous contributions, further supporting our mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community. Combined, these gifts contribute to over 37 programs in the areas of Education, Income and Health; RUW’s volunteer initiative and nonprofit capacity building to strengthen local nonprofits. It is this circle of giving and its impact that makes our community a better place in which to live and work.
Throughout the year, we recognize our Leadership Giving Circle at our many community sponsored events, such as our Campaign Kickoff and Day(s) of Action. Our Leadership donors are often the first to participate in our volunteer opportunities. Occasionally, we hold special events or pre-event receptions for our Leadership Giving Circle simply to celebrate their generosity, their Rappahannock United Way involvement and their dedication to our community.
Our generous event sponsors listed below ensure all Rappahannock United Way events are completely underwritten and donor dollars are strictly invested in creating a community where individuals and families achieve their full potential through Education, Financial Stability and Healthy Living.
