Our nation largely continues to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In some states, like North Dakota, certain establishments are beginning to re-open. However, things are far from “normal.” Although many of us can’t wait for things to get “back to normal,” we are choosing to press on and move forward with anticipation into the “new normal.” For the Carson Wentz AO1 Foundation, we are dealing with the disappointment of not being able to host many of our “normal” events. In May, we were forced to make the difficult decisions to cancel our second annual Charity Softball Game in North Dakota as well as our third annual Camp Conquerors in North Dakota. These are two of our favorite and most significant events of the year. Despite feeling the disappointment, we have been filled with renewed passion and purpose. We are still called to fulfill our mission of “Uplifting individuals and communities around the world by demonstrating God’s love for His people” through our three ministries: the Outdoor Ministry, Thy Kingdom Crumb and the Haiti Sports Complex. We realize that it may look different in this season, but we are excited to continue to serve and love those in our communities with even greater resolve. ”Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 3:13-14 (ESV) Let us press on together. It may look different, but let’s choose to believe that God can do something amazing through it all. Here’s a snapshot of what took place through our ministries in May.

Our nation largely continues to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In some states, like North Dakota, certain

establishments are beginning to re-open. However, things are far from “normal.” Although many of us can’t wait for things to get “back to normal,” we are choosing to press on and move forward with anticipation into the “new normal.”

For the Carson Wentz AO1 Foundation, we are dealing with the disappointment of not being able to host many of our “normal” events. In May, we were forced to make the difficult decisions to cancel our second annual Charity Softball Game in North Dakota as well as our third annual Camp Conquerors in North Dakota. Despite feeling the disappointment, we have been filled with renewed passion and purpose. We are still called to fulfill our mission of “Uplifting individuals and communities around the world by demonstrating God’s love for His

people” through our three ministries: the Outdoor Ministry, Thy Kingdom Crumb and the Haiti Sports Complex. We realize that it may look different in this season, but we are excited to continue to serve and love those in our communities with even greater resolve.

Let us press on together. It may look different, but let’s choose to believe that God can do something amazing through it all.

We whole-heartedly wish we were less than a month away

from Camp Conquerors, but that is not the reality this summer. Over the next couple of months, we are going to work on creating a different outdoor experience for the children involved in our Outdoor Ministry. We love camp and the kids we’ve had the

opportunity to meet, and we look forward to spending time with many of them later this summer or fall.

Our Outdoor Ministry Director, Cole Scherbenske, is focusing his efforts on creating consistent connection points with the children and their families. He and his wife, Lexie, recently sent a second monthly Family Pack. This month’s package included supplies to

Cole and Lexie are also continuing to make weekly devotional videos for all of the children involved in our Outdoor Ministry as well as their families. In their most recent video, they talked about the

difference between knowing about God and knowing God personally. Finally, Cole continues to plan and prepare for this fall’s Mountain

Movers trips. Although we will not be able to do as many trips as we originally planned, we will still be taking several children on hunting and fishing trips over the months ahead. We love these trips and the relationships they help us forge with the adventurers

and their families.

On May 8, we hosted the AO1 Day of Relief, a virtual fundraiser to support Thy Kingdom Crumb's newest initiative, Love From The Crumb. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to

raise $132,534! We were amazed by your support, which will allow us to provide 6,627 boxes.

Since early April, Love From the Crumb has been supplying free, tangible care to our communities by giving boxes of groceries to families in need and essential workers. To date, we have distributed 3,354 boxes containing over 40,000 pounds of food

and other necessary supplies.

Along with our partner, The Connect Church, we hosted a second curbside

pickup event in Cherry Hill on May 28. We were able to distribute 225 boxes in 33 minutes! We had a line of cars down the block and quickly ran out of boxes. At our first curbside pickup event, a young man came through the line and received two boxes. Later that day, via an Instagram video, we found

out that he took the boxes into the city of Philadelphia and gave them away to two homeless individuals he encountered on the streets. We have loved hearing the stories and testimonies from those receiving boxes

each week.

“God is continuing his work at my workplace through the boxes of groceries donated by TKC. A coworker who received a box currently has a mother who is still ill from the Coronavirus. Another coworker, who survived an illness last year and is

still curious as to why her life was spared, also received a box of groceries thanks to TKC. Those are just some of the back stories at my job at Target where God is revealing himself to people." - Jeremiah Soto, Target Cherry Hill

Like America, the country of Haiti continues to navigate COVID-19. This continues to put the construction of the Haiti Sports Complex on hold for the time being. One of our primary contacts at the Mission of Hope - Haiti

recently shared this with us:

As much as we wish this project was moving forward as anticipated, we are committed to praying for the people of Haiti. In the end, we decided to build the Haiti Sports Complex because we love the people of Haiti and desire to serve them by creating opportunities for them to flourish. Our goal remains the same, and we are believing that

God is going to use this all for His good.

“Haiti COVID cases are rising currently, and the government is continuing to enforce stricter mandates for the people. There is a concern of a stringent shutdown of the country if cases continue to rise. The suspected number of cases is much higher

than confirmed, obviously, due to a lack of mass testing availability.

This is keeping our project sites closed for the time being. We are talking to our contractors multiple times per week, and they are standing by to continue. We want them to get back to the sites as quickly as possible, and we also want to be

mindful of the health risks. We are trying to balance both desires, and people definitely come first. Materials are on-site, though, so it should be a quick re-launch once the country opens back up.”
