Make a miniature ice skating rink with a shoebox, paperclips, and refrigerator magnets! You will need » Crayons » 4 Magnets » NetSmartz skaters and rink designs » 4 Paperclips » Scissors » Shoebox or other box made of thin, sturdy cardboard » Your trusted adult! 1 Instructions 6 7 Color and cut out the NetSmartz skaters and rink designs. 2 Fold and crease each skater’s tab. Slide a paperclip over the tab. 3 4 5 Place the shoebox on a table with the open side facing down. Glue the rink designs to one side of the box. The printed side should face you. With your trusted adult’s help, make two cuts on the other side of the box and fold the flap in between, creating a space large enough for your hand to fit through. Place the skaters on top of the box and put a magnet beneath each one. Slide the magnets around to see the skaters skate! Color and cut out the NetSmartz skaters and rink designs.
2 Fold and crease each skater’s tab. Slide a paperclip over the tab.

Place the shoebox on a table with the open side facing down.
Glue the rink designs to one side of the box. The printed side should face you.
