An active SIOR member since 1995, member of the Association of Industrial Real Estate Brokers, Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, Member of the Warehousing Education and Research Council, member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. In 2005, JD was chosen as one of 10 Illinois business and civil leaders to spend 2 days and 1 night on the USS Ronald Reagan, America’s newest Nimitz Class nuclear air craft carrier.
In 2008 J.D. was named one of 4 recipients of the prestigious Illinois Real Estate Journal Award for Excellence in Real Estate and received the Silver Honors Award from the Chicago Association of Realtors for Industrial Broker of the Year. J.D. was one of five finalists for the 2009 Chicago Latino Entrepreneur of the year. In 2011 JD was named to the Midwest Real Estate News Hall of Fame. J.D. has been named by Chicago United as one of Chicago’s Business Leaders of Color.
J.D. provides probono real estate services to the Greater Chicago Food Depositoryand was a member of its Board of Directors from 2002 to 2012. The Greater ChicagoFood Depository (serving the people of Cook County, IL) is one of the largestproviders of food to pantries and soup kitchens in the United States. J.D. is pastPresident of the University of New Mexico Chicago Alumni Association and a pastmember of New Mexico’s National Alumni Board. Through his church, Christ Churchof Oak Brook, J.D. is an active participant in international Christian missions to theMiddle East and Eastern Europe. JD is also a regular volunteer at FCHN ProgramMission (Feed, Clothe & Help the Needy) in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicagoand is a member of FCHN’s Steering and Planning Council. He is married to CarolRediehs and has two daughters.
