Without question one of the most famous luxury hotels

in the capital, sophistication and classic english style

are the hallmarks of the legendary Brown’s Hotel.

following a £24 million restoration, Brown’s has been

restored to its rightful position as one of the most

intimate and charming hotels in london. the interiors

are contemporary and have a real sense of style,

while retaining much of their original, quintessentially

english elegance.

Majestic frameless shower screens were selected

for the restoration personally by the rocco forte

Collection’s director of design, olga Polizzi.

Approximately 70 deauville and rio model enclosures

were bespoke manufactured to the exact requirements

of the design team. With aesthetics and performance

high priorities, recessed glazing profiles were specified

to the walls and base of each enclosure, providing a

minimal look in keeping with the rest of the interior.

the soho Hotel, london. firmdale Hotels are

renowned for their stunning décor, reflected by

the fact that owner and designer Kit Kemp was

awarded the Andrew Martin international interior

designer of the Year for 2008.

described by tatler magazine as ‘the most glamorous

hotel in the world’, the soho Hotel is probably the

finest boutique hotel in the UK. With a wide variety

of bathrooms, approximately 90 frameless Collection

shower screens were provided, consisting of napoli,

Biarritz, rio and Maine models.

Minimal styling, easy installation and high

performance were key requirements, all fulfilled

through the use of 24mm surface profiles to

the wall and base of each screen. doors were

provided with long ‘d’ handles and all components

were finished in chrome.

frameless Collection sliding door shower screens Vigo and toulon are made in 8mm thick glass. All glass

is available both clear and misted. in house facilities enable us to provide almost any design of misted

finish. Anti-limescale glass protection (see page 70) is available and is guaranteed for life.

Majestic are able to offer low iron, opti-clear glass as a bespoke option along with the following

colours: smoke/grey, Bronze, Blue and green.

All glass is toughened safety glass to: Bs en 12150, Bs en 12600 and Ansi Z97.1-2004.

and misted. in house facilities enable us to provide almost any design of misted finish. Anti-limescale

colours: smoke/grey, Bronze, Blue and green.

Hinges and brackets are precision engineered solid brass. Handles and staybars are composed of high

purity stainless steel, grade 316. glazing profiles are made in highly polished aluminium, Bs 1615.

UV bonding is a process which enables glass panels to be joined without the use of metal fittings and

Majestic elegance glass is clear, 6mm thick with polished edges. Anti-limescale glass

protection (see page 70) is available and is guaranteed for life.

Hinges and brackets are precision engineered solid brass. Handles and staybars are

composed of high purity stainless steel, grade 316. glazing profiles are made in highly

polished aluminium, Bs 1615.

All elegance collection fittings are finished in bright chrome.

this 22mm glazing profile provides 16mm adjustment allowing the

glass to sit +-8mm from the centre of the profile to accommodate

wall variation.

Hard water left to dry directly onto the glass

surface will leave a calcium deposit known as

limescale. if allowed to remain it will eat into

the glass surface resulting in a loss of clarity.

a chemical film barrier which provides two

obtaining accurate dimensions for the manufacture of bespoke shower screens is a straightforward process. simply follow

the instructions set out below. Whilst these examples show measurements taken on a shower tray, when measuring a wet room

area the method is exactly the same.

MAJestiC MeAsUring gUide

Measure the width of the alcove along the shower tray. Always measure to

finished tiled walls, never provide Majestic with overall shower tray dimensions.

BAse diMensions:

Measurement A – Base Width of Alcove mm

specify the height required (standard height is 2000mm). the walls may not be

plumb. Measure how much each wall leans in or out.

Measurement B – Height of shower screen mm

Measurement C – left Hand Wall leans in/out* mm

Measurement d – right Hand Wall leans in/out* mm

*underline applicable

Measure the front and side widths along the shower tray. Always measure

to finished tiled walls, never provide Majestic with overall shower tray dimensions.

Keep in mind that the dimensions you give will be the outer dimensions of the

enclosure. Avoid measuring too close to the edges and corner of the tray.
