BIODIVERSITY EXPO

In December 2016, Cancún will host the thirteenth

meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the

Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 13).

Over 5,000 people from more than 196 countries will travel to the

event to coordinate international efforts and achieve the

Convention on Biological Diversity's goal.

During the Expo, national and local governments,

international organizations, NGOs, NPOs, academic

institutions, private companies and many other

exhibitors will showcase biological diversity-related

projects and initiatives and discuss ideas and issues

on their stands and via other media.

The Mainstreaming Biodiversity Expo will span two

venues: the Moon Palace Resort, Cancún and the

Cancún ICC. The latter will host an international

exhibition at which participants will have the

opportunity to give presentations and address the

issue of biodiversity for sustainable development.

at the Moon Palace Resort

Local and national governments, international

organizations, NGOs, NPOs, academic

institutions, private companies and many other

exhibitors from across the globe will showcase

their projects, initiatives and ideas on how to

mainstream and nurture biodiversity in a secure

setting (Universal Center, Building B, Ground and

First floors).

This area will be exclusively for registered

COP 13 participants.

Located in the heart of Cancún's tourist district,

this area will be open to all (tourists, schools, COP

13 participants, NGOs and the general public).

Admission is free and there is no need to register

beforehand. Free transport from the Moon Palace

Resort to the International Convention Center will

be available for all official badge holders.

EXPO INTEGRANDO LA BIODIVERSIDAD

En diciembre 2016, Cancún será el anfitrión de la

decimotercera reunión de la Conferencia de las Partes en el

Convenio sobre la Diversidad Biológica - COP 13

Esta conferencia reunirá a más de 5,000 personas de más de

196paísespara coordinar esfuerzos internacionales y alcanzar

los objetivos del Convenio sobre la Diversidad Biológica.

En la expo, los gobiernos nacionales y locales,

organizaciones internacionales, las ONGs, las

ONLs, instituciones académicas, empresas

privadas y muchos otros expositores, presentarán

sus proyectos, iniciativas, ideas y cuestiones

relacionadas con la diversidad biológica en los

puestos de exposición y por otros medios.

La Expo Integrando la Biodiversidad, se llevará a

cabo en el Moon Palace Cancún México; y el

Cancún ICC, donde se realizará una exposición

internacional que proporciona oportunidades para

presentaciones y la interacción con el tema de la

biodiversidad para el desarrollo sostenible.
