Magazine Advert Analysis

Magazine Advert AnalysisThe band name is centre of the magazine ad. The text is black like spray paint and this stands out against the white strip, this brings attention directly first and then the single name which is directly under it!

At the bottom of the magazine ad there is a website address. Also listed is where the album is available, this could be a form of synergy between Play.com and the band/record label. In the lower right corner is the Virgin which is also the bands record label.Along with many other magazine adverts, the album release date is prominent. Its the same size as the band title showing its importance, this is further demonstrated by the fact that it is a different colour.Magazine adverts normally have an image of the band however in this case, they have used the album cover. This is probably to create familiarity with the cover image. The image is rather a bit symbolic in the way that it looks like clouds around the title and above that there is flowers and an array of colours flourishing out. Could this be symbolizing that they are growing? Its maybe a natural progression.
