The Problem
The solution
The technology:Microarray GeneChips
We make a Direct ImpactOn Science and Kids
KuhuWhen radiation failed to help Kuhu, her team of physicians
turned to microchip data analysis. She is now a thriving college student thanks to the chemotherapy treatment she
received as a result of the MicroArray Chip Program!
What is a Chip? Caden
➔ Chips help researchers read all genes in a cancer tissue simultaneously.
➔ A decade ago that would have taken years. With GeneChips, it takes days.
What they learned from the chip data used to treat Kuhu helped them refine Caden’s treatments when he was only 2 years old. He’s now a happy 2nd grader.
