The MAESTRO System Software 6.0 with the MAX Programming Interface is the quickest

and easiest way to program MED-EL cochlear implants. The MAESTRO System Software

simpli� es � ttings with features designed for convenience, while MAX is a new interface

that provides improved handling and connectivity.

SONNET Features

A number of additional programming

features are available when using the

SONNET audio processor.

Automatic Sound Management

Automatic Sound Management 2.0 actively adapts to changing

listening environments, minimising the need for users to

change programs or settings.

– Microphone Directionality is available in three settings:

Omni, Natural, and Adaptive—with optional automatic

switching between Omni and Adaptive.

– Wind Noise Reduction levels can be customised to each

individual user to ensure the best bene� t.

Simple EAS Fittings

Expanded 6-channel EAS acoustic � tting allows more speci� c

maps to be created, and both the acoustic and the electrical

component can be programmed simultaneously.

Datalogging

Datalogging provides detailed information on usage behavior,

including usage time and volume range of each selectable

program, enabling � tting maps to be easily tailored to your

users’ individual needs.

Better Bilateral FittingFor the � rst time, bilateral � ttings can be done through

a single programming unit. MAESTRO 6.0 makes it easy

to program both sides without the need for two

programming interfaces.

Improved HandlingThe new MAX design incorporates a number of new

features into one compact desktop device. With an integrated

USB power and data connection, it’s easy to control all MAX

features through the MAESTRO System Software 6.0

on your PC.

Faster TelemetryQuicker measurements are possible thanks to a dedicated

telemetry port for a more reliable connection between MAX

Coil and implant, as well as faster Auditory Nerve Response

Telemetry (ART), Impedance and Field Telemetry (IFT), and

estimates of the spatial selectivity of the electrode array.

Upgrading to the MAESTRO 6.0* & MAX

Upgrading is quick and easy—simply install the

MAESTRO System Software 6.0 with the included CD,

attach MAX with the USB cable, and you’re ready to go.

System requirements:

– PC or laptop/notebook with supported

Microsoft Windows® operating system**

– Dual-core processor of 1.6 GHz or higher

– 2 GB RAM

– 2 GB free disk space

– Display with a minimum resolution of 1024 × 768

(1280 × 1024 recommended)

– High-power USB port 2.0 or higher

– Connection to printer for hard-copy reports

– CD ROM drive for software installation

MAESTRO 6.0 and MAX have been designed from the ground

up to work seamlessly together. MAESTRO 6.0 supports

database migration from previous software versions, but

is not compatible with the DIB II and other previous

interface versions.
