Where Every Child has A Future

Two years ago, we

felt Gods call toserve more children,

in more places, inmore ways.

Now God isopening the door in

Madison, Florida.

Now we can

share an amazingstory with

everyone

a story of a group who

gathered to discussgreater hope for hurting

children and how Godwas, and still is,

in control.

In late 2010, a group

from First UnitedMethodist Madison

gathered together inMadison, Florida

to discuss the possibility of

expanding Florida UnitedMethodist Childrens

Home services toNorth Florida.

Initially, the

discussion centeredaround the idea to

expand our fostercare services to

North Florida

but the conversation

turned to the idea ofbuilding a second

campus of the FloridaUnited Methodist

Childrens Home.

Within days, a

family prayedtogether and felt

led to donate120acres of land in

Madison.

Following this, another

local family pledgedan initial cornerstone

gift to build the firstresidential home

After further review of

the initial 120 acres ofland, it was determined

that property would notbe suitable for

development of aYouth Ranch.

When the Lordcloses one door,

He opens

another

Soon after, the

Barksdale Foundationoffered the Childrens

Home 240 acres ofland for development

Just days following, we

received anadditional 60 acres of

land adjacent, givingus over 300 acres.

And because of these

gifts, the Florida UnitedMethodist Childrens

Home now has theopportunity to give more

hurting children a FUTURE

and a HOPE

by building a new

north campus

to be named theMadison Youth

Ranch.

The Madison Youth Ranch

will ultimately provide thesame services as our

Enterprise Campus withspecial focus on

Equine-Assisted Therapy.

At this time, our team is

actively holding awarenessevents, making presentations

and reaching out to theUnited Methodist Family for

both volunteer time and

financial support.
