for respiration & structural support in plant cell walls

Examples: Glucose, fructose, cellulose & starch

Composed of: Fatty Acids & Glycerol

Function: Provides insulation, solubility for some vitamins/minerals, waterproofing, part of biological membranes

Examples: Triglycerides, oils, waxes

Found In: Butter, cheese, meats

Monomer: amino acidsPolymer: polypeptidesFunction: almost all

functions of body; muscles, skin, hair; structural support; transport substances; speed up reactions; control cell growth; communicate between cells

Examples: Enzymes, hormones, muscle

NUCLEIC ACID

Monomer: nucleotides

Polymer: nucleic acids

Function: genetic information and all information to produce all cell parts and materials
