Lydia® Kicks Your Warehouse into Overdrive !Lydia® is the leading system in today‘s speech technology for voice-directed and ergonomic work processes. The hands-free/eyes-free approach guarantees that operators can focus completely on the essential work steps.

To use Lydia®, the operators simply require a headset and mobile computer (voice client), that can be comfortably attached to a belt. All order data and commands are transmitted via WLAN or UMTS between the host warehouse management or ERP system and the mobile voice clients (e.g. Voxter® Elite Edition) and converted into voice-directed instructions.

All necessary information, such as bin location and quantity to be picked, is announced by Lydia® and immediately confirmed by the operator’s voice input. A customized, process-oriented dialogue structure is developed with each customer. In addition to just a simple pick or put confirmation, the operator can also request additional information, e.g. description of products, initiate replenishment, print labels, or change pallets.

The advantages are clear – the operators are directed by Lydia® throughout their daily work routines, having hands and eyes free at all times to perform vital tasks. The results are a dramatic increase in productivity and accuracy which leads to a rapid payback.

In addition to the basic voice picking application, Lydia® is also increasingly implemented for other processes in the supply chain, such as cycle-counting, replenishment, or put-away, as well as in production and maintenance.

Voice input and output as well as the dialogue control are processed locally on the client device, which allows for on and off-line applications, e.g. in yard management.

When required, Lydia® can also be used with a barcode scanner or RFID reader in case additional data is required (e.g. capture of batch numbers, serial numbers, lot control, or best before dates).

Any operator, regardless of gender, dialect, or accent, will be recognized immediately without any prior speech training. With Lydia®, anyone can be productive in a matter of minutes, saving time and money.

Optional speaker training99.9 % of all operators are immediately recognized with the speaker independent solution. If needed, individual training is available as well, which guarantees that EVERY operator can work with Lydia®.

Automatic speaker adaption“Automatic Speaker Adaptation” is the learning of speech specifics and characteristics of a speaker and the automatic adaptation of this output by the speech recognizer.

Noise / audio filterLydia® guarantees excellent and reliable speech recognition even under challenging conditions with changing background noise levels.

Natural voiceSynthetic voice outputs often deliver poor speech quality which is why Lydia® has a natural voice. If needed, text to speech is also available, e.g. for the description of SKUs.

All languagesLydia® is available in any official language either with a male or female voice. It is even possible to mix and match languages within applications. The choice is yours!

Intuitive voice controlThe software as well as the mobile devices are all controlled by voice commands, such as log-in, volume and speed control, request for status information, pause, etc.

NCV (Noise Controlled Volume)In NCV mode, the system automatically adjusts to the environmental background noise and adapts the sound volume of Lydia®’s speech output accordingly

for each individual user.

AGC (Automatic Gain Control)In AGC mode, the system automatically adjusts to the speaker‘s voice level and surrounding noise levels and provides an optimum signal for speech recognition. A manual calibration of the microphone is no longer required.

Lydia® CoPilotThe Lydia® CoPilot is a unique tool for initial training of new employees and first level on-site support. Using the CoPilot, key users or managers can connect to any active voice client from a remote location and support the operator.

Lydia® PhoneLydia® Phone allows calls between the manager and staff within the warehouse. This newly integrated telephony function is a perfect tool for easy communication that greatly reduces or eliminates unnecessary walking, resulting in additional savings. With the wireless telephony, questions can be quickly answered or instructions given with a simple phone call.
