This year, moreover, the literary competition will be connected to an International Event named

“WOMEN: WRITING AND EXCHANGING IDEAS”. This event has been attended by Catherine Refabert,

President of the International Inner Wheel in 2011\12, whose presence is a great honour for the Clubs of Turin. Two different complementary ways have been thought to give voice, on one hand, to female writing through the Literary Prize and, on

the other hand, to a debate on women’s position in Europe and the role of Inner Wheel. That subject

is to be analysed during the International Colloquium “WOMEN FOR EUROPE 4 – THE ROLE OF INNER WHEEL TOWARDS EUROPE 2020”, organized

within the International Long-term Project “WOMEN FOR EUROPE – THE ROLE OF INNER

WHEEL”, started in 2008 by IW Club of Naples Luisa Bruni, Italy.

All interesting the interventions, where the importance and significance of the initiative was reaffirmed. For many years, it has given voice to the Inner Wheel Women writing. The reason: «The deep structure and expressive description encourage the reader to get involved in the story. The writer

possesses a rich vocabulary, the subject matter and ideas are expressed with clarity and accuracy. The story stirs up

emotions, captures you and holds your attention to the end. The contrast between the wild , rugged moors and the city of

Bristol is well expressed. The writer’s moral principles and inner feelings are clearly stated and the kidnappers cruel

and disturbing behavior comes out The ending is unexpected».
