About me

This year begins my eighteenth year of teaching. All of them have been here at Olita. The majority of my career has been in second grade, with a brief stint in sixth grade. This is my first year as a third grade teacher. I love what I do and am always striving to serve my students in better and more creative ways.

I have a B.A. in History from Cal State Fullerton. I also went through the CSUF Teaching Credential Program. I hold a Masters in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction from Azusa Pacific University.

Personally, I am a mother of two amazing kiddos, Jackson and Mia. I am married to Bob. We are also parents to two kitties and one very spoiled golden retriever named Max.

Goals

My goal this year, and every year, is to ensure that my students reach their potential under my guidance. I recognize that each child has their own unique strengths and talents, and I am always looking for ways to help them be successful in what ever ways they can. I want each student to leave my room a better and more thoughtful reader, a more responsible citizen and learner, and well-equipped to handle what their future schooling has in store for them. In my classroom, I wish to foster creativity and problem-solving skills that will help your child to be successful in life.
