Objective: Create a regular process by which rural businesses will be surveyed to gather information germane to supporting a positive business and policy climate in the Rural Policy Area. Capture data from a wide range of industry sectors as a means to improve the understanding of the rural economy from a financial and policy standpoint. Design a survey that will allow the County to easily target rural businesses with a simple form designed for mail or electronic distribution.

that advocates for the development of
new and existing multi-use trails within
Loudoun County
Outreach to stakeholder groups, including Parks, Recreation and Community Services, equine groups and mountain bike organizations to encourage the formation of a multi-user trails organization Create a legal structure, organization and by-laws for governance Create a map of new and existing trails in Loudoun County Identify right-of-ways for existing trails Identify a pilot project, the stakeholders and tools needed to create the trail or segment Continue to work with new and existing multi-user trails
Objective: To develop an organization that is the catalyst for various recreational trail user groups working together for the development and management of the recreation trail system. Develop actionable tools for the various stakeholders to use to support the recreation trail system operations. To move governments to support this initiative with tangible, long-term actions.

Objective: To create, promote and manage a larger number of coordinated public relations and marketing events that introduce culinary and arts elements by the private sector. Support new and expanded events that focus on promoting the types of businesses recommended by the REBDS through promotional support, volunteer management and sourcing of local products by the REDC and DED. Creation of a unique event, by the county, to support the continued operations of rural business development programs focusing on agriculture and art and design.
