Thank you to Mrs Wingrove for her organisation and thanks to our staff and parents who supported the event. What a wonderful way to finish our week. Sadly, the weather gods weren’t as kind today and as a result, we needed to postpone our Grandfriends and Easter celebrations. We have re-scheduled them for Friday of this week. The day should run as was planned for today, however, we will be monitoring the weather and will make adjustments if necessary. The forecast at this stage is positive for Friday so all going well, we will hold the events then. We know that many family members and friends had travelled some distance to attend today and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and hope that we are able to proceed on Friday, with many Grandfriends in attendance. FUNDRAISING NEWS Grandfriends Day & Easter Eggstravaganza A huge THANK YOU to all who supported the Easter Egg-stravaganza. We received lots of donations of chocolates, baskets, bags, books, bunny ears and other Easter items. We were very fortunate and had 56 prizes!!! All funds raised from this event (a total will be provided in upcoming newsletters) will be used to enrich the learning environment of the Maryland Public School students. Specific details will provided once determined by the P&C Committee in consultation with the Principal. Your support in this endeavour is greatly appreciated.

Mother’s Day Stall School holidays are very near and Mother’s Day which is held on Sunday, 14 May this year is fast approaching. A stall will be held in the school hall on Friday, 12 May 2017 which is in Week 3 of next term. Preparation for the stall has begun with volunteers assisting with the wrapping of items for the stall last week. So while you are out and about in the holidays please consider donating suitable items for the special mothers / carer providers in the school community. Some suggestions include; face washers and soaps, body wash and loafers, cups and coffee / tea bags or wrapped lollies / chocolates, photo frames, hand creams, key rings, or shopping lists. Items will be priced from $1 - $5 and a selection made available to each class. Full details will be provided next term.

Have a happy and safe Easter holiday break and we look forward to seeing you in Term 2.
