Studying Rocks The third grade is in the process of studying rocks. Mrs. Chaves brought her class to Mrs. Krese, the junior high science teacher. Mrs. Krese showed the third graders a streak plate and how rocks can show different colors than what you would think on the plate. She also explained some rocks have a smell to them. Each of the third graders brought a rock with them and they were able to classify their own rock. Mrs. Chaves said the next step the third grade will do is to write a descriptive paragraph about rocks.
Art Club Tree The Art Club entered a contest to create a Christmas tree out of recycled materials. This is the tree they created. It won first place! Congratulations, Art Club!
