Intercessions for Life For civic leaders, that by their words and actions, they might defend life and work to preserve respect for the life of every human being; We pray to the Lord:
Epiphany of Our Lord
“...the Gentiles are co-heirs, members of the same body, and co-partners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the Gospel.” (EPHESIANS 3:6) To-day we celebrate that Christ came to all of us, not just the Hebrews. He has given each of us unique gifts. We all have different yet equally valuable roles to play in the Body of Christ. Pray daily and ask God how He wants you to use your gifts so that we may all “be one”.

Next Weekend, January 12th/13th, there will be a second collection for the Catholic University of Amer-ica. By way of its many programs, such as those in ethical business practices; classical architecture; intelligence studies; neurosci-ence; nursing; Spanish language and Hispanic ministry; social service; and Catholic bioethics, the University prepares students to respond to the many issues facing the Church and society today.
Please be generous in this special collection for The Catholic University of America. Thank you!

Today we celebrate the feast of the Epiphany, where the Magi find the newborn king and offer him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
In the spirit of the Magi, please put your gift in the St. Vincent de Paul Poor Box so that comfort and peace can once again be given to a newborn child.
“Never tire of firmly speaking out in defense of life from its conception, and do not be deterred from the commitment to defend the dignity of every human per-son with courageous determination. Christ is with you: be not afraid!” ~ Address of John Paul II on February 3, 2001
