OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE UNDER THE MOST ADVERSE CONDITIONS / In order to be certain of satisfying high quality demands, Fronius inverters are exhaustive-ly tested in our in-house research and development centre. This ensures that the equipment can withstand environmental influences including water spray, dust, salt or extreme temper-atures while constantly delivering outstanding performance. The facilities available for testing new technologies include test laboratories that extend over more than 400 square metres as well as a wide variety of different PV systems (roof-mounted systems, façade sys-tems, PV trackers, thin-film modules, crystalline modules, etc.) with a total output of over 1 MW. At every stage of production, parts and components are checked to ensure that they work correctly and also meet our high quality standards. Only products that pass every aspect of the final function and load tests are released for shipping.

“We are extremely satisfied, as such a low failure rate means virtually no yield losses. The system monitoring feature means we can identify faults immediately. As we also keep a stock of spare parts in a warehouse on-site, we can replace any faulty PC board in under 20 minutes,” explains plant engineer Miro Pevċik from the Ladovo solar power plant.

FRONIUS PV SYSTEM DESIGN/ With the Fronius PV system design, experienced Fronius engineers will support you in planning your PV system - from evaluating and optimising the PV system, together with provisional layout drawings, right through to detailed simulations and wiring diagrams. Together with Fronius you will find the perfect solution for your PV project. Fronius will also help you to plan repowering pro-jects and PV-Genset systems.

FRONIUS STRING INVERTERS/ The Fronius Symo and Fronius Eco string invert-ers perfectly meet all the requirements of large-scale installations. These inverters impress with the highest yields, a compact design and extreme-ly straightforward mounting and servicing thanks to the SnapINverter mounting system. The invert-ers also boast numerous interfaces for optimum system monitoring and an IP 66 protection class for unrestricted outdoor use. The Fronius Power Package is the system solution from a single source, consisting of the Fronius inverters, a Fronius AC Combiner and pre-fabricated cables. From plan-ning right through to maintenance of the PV sys-tem, the impressive solution requires minimal effort and delivers maximum flexibility.

FRONIUS PV-GENSET SOLUTION/ In remote areas or regions with unstable public grids, a continuous supply of electricity - independ-ent of the public grid - is required. As it makes complete financial and ecological sense to inte-grate photovoltaics into off-grid or backup systems of this kind, Fronius offers perfectly coordinated solutions for these applications. The first referenc-es demonstrate that diesel generators and photo-voltaic technology can be combined in perfect harmony. Responsible for managing the entire setup is the Fronius PV system controller, which ensures fast and reliable control of the entire sys-tem. Fronius also provides support in planning the PV-Genset solution.

FRONIUS SERVICE PARTNER PROGRAMME/ The Fronius Service Partner programme offers a unique service to installers – the PC board replacement process. Installers can only perform servicing on a device after they have completed the Fronius Service Partner training. In just one visit the inverter will be up and running again without needing to be moved from its installation location. You thereby avoid any unnecessary downtime for your PV system and yields are safeguarded. There is also an option for training your own staff to become Fronius Service Partners; this is an extremely good way for system operators to achieve flexibility and reliability in their support strategy.

FRONIUS SYSTEM MONITORING & SYSTEM MAINTENANCE/ PV systems can be monitored, analysed and compared quickly and easily using the Fronius Solar.web online por-tal. The open interfaces in your inverter make it easy to connect PV systems to third-party components. All PV system data is thus transferred via standardised interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU Sunspec or Fronius Solar.API (JSON). Furthermore, the inverters can even be controlled via Modbus. The open interfaces can be operated in parallel to Fronius Solar.web. This means that in the event of a fault we can ensure that rapid support is provided.

The free Fronius Solar.Service software makes it even easier for the installation engineer to maintain the inverter. Numerous settings on the inverter can also be configured via remote maintenance; this makes servicing even more convenient and cost-effective for you as the system operator.

FRONIUS TRAINING/ By attending our training courses, installation engineers can become experts in the planning, installation and servicing of PV systems. These courses offer highly practical instruction and are tailored to the technical challenges of the PV industry. All course participants work directly on the products, thus benefitting from the expertise and many years’ experience of both Fronius employees and the other participants.

FRONIUS COMMISSIONING SUPPORT/ Installers can call on assistance from experienced Fronius engineers when commissioning the PV system. Our engineers know Fronius components right down to the tiniest detail. Their technical expertise means they will be able to answer any questions during commissioning, meaning that - as the system operator - you waste no time and can bring the PV system into service faster.

LADOVO SOLAR POWER PLANT

/ Megawatt project completed in a remarkably short space of timeThis PV power plant was built on behalf of the company Solartec in one of the sunniest regions of Slovakia. It was completed in under three months. The crucial factors for this project were reliable product availability and harmonious project management. The PV power plant is made up of 19 megawatt projects equipped with a total of 1380 Fronius IG Plus.

ROOF-MOUNTED SYSTEM WITH 43 FRONIUS SYMO INVERTERS

/ Technical highlights of the Fronius Symo ensure maximum PV yieldAssmont Energy GmbH installed a total of 43 Fronius Symo 20.0-3-M in-verters in this system. The SnapINverter mounting system was a complete success. “The installation was straightforward and problem-free,” reports Stephan Traussnig, Sales Manager at Assmont Energy GmbH. The size of the system required exceptional flexibility at the planning stage. Thanks to the innovative SuperFlex Design, the various string lengths and roof orien-tations did not present a problem during system design.
