    POINTS AWARDS - For all Exhibitors

    POINTS AWARDS - For all Cattle Exhibitors

    Stockmen’s Competition - open to men and women

    PTS1 The Johnstone Perpetual Challenge Cup for exhibitors resident in Devon gaining the highest number of points in the Horse, Cattle, Sheep and Pig classes (1).

    PTS2 The Peter Holmes Memorial Perpetual Challenge Trophy presented by his NAAS colleagues, for the exhibitor under 35 years of age and resident in Devon gaining the highest number of points in the Cattle, Sheep and Pig classes. Exhibitors must indicate on their entry form if they are eligible for this award (114).

    Exhibitors please note that partnerships are not eligible for this award unless all partners are under 35 years of age.

    Points awarded for the above cups as follows:

    1st Prize - 4 points; 2nd Prize - 3 points; 3rd Prize - 2 points; 4th Prize - 1 Point. Only the highest award gained in each class by an exhibitor will be eligible for points for these trophies.

    Judge: Mr A Lane, WINKLEIGH

    This competition will be restricted to those looking after cattle and points will be awarded as follows:

    (a) Number of entries made and exhibited max 20 points (b) The presentation of breeding and performance details max 35 points (c) Neatness of animals’ stall and equipment max 35 points (d) Handling and attendance on parade max 10 points

    PTS5 The Amory Perpetual Challenge Trophy offered by the late Rt Hon The Viscount Amory of Tiverton, KG, PC, GCMG, for the Champion Stockman together with an award of £50 to the winner (84).

    PTS3 The Herbert Tully Challenge Cup presented by the late H Tully, for the exhibitor gaining the most points in the cattle classes (69).

    PTS4 The Abe S Newbery Perpetual Memorial Trophy presented by Mrs K M Jacquet in memory of her father, for the exhibitor, resident in Devon, gaining the most points in the Cattle classes (118).

    Points awarded for the above cups as follows: 1st Prize - 4 points; 2nd Prize - 3 points; 3rd Prize - 2 Points; 4th Prize - 1 Point.
