At Little Stars we believe it’s important for children to developa love of healthy eating at a young age. Their relationshipwith food - whether it be good or bad - is something theycarry with them throughout their entire lives.

All our delicious and healthy meals are prepared in our nurserykitchen, using locally sourced ingredients by our Nursery Chef, whowas a ‘Nursery Chef 2016’ finalist at the National NMT Awards.

Our menu teaches children that dinner doesn’t always have to befollowed by dessert and that trying new food is exciting, not scary.

We educate our children on where their food comes from and helpthem to understand how it affects their bodies, helping them to makehealthy choices now and in the future.

Feeding them with the same old plain food every day would be a lot easier for us, but it wouldn’t benefit them!

Our baby area allows your little one to learn attheir own pace in a stimulating environment;exploring new textures, tastes and smells,splashing about during messy play and havingoutdoor adventures in our secure garden.

The lovely soft surroundings enable your littleone to wriggle, crawl and take those excitingfirst steps safely with encouragement from ourcaring team. When it’s naptime your little onecan snuggle up in cosy cots amongst soothingsurroundings, before waking up to begin abrand new adventure.

Our toys and resources are placed at yourbaby’s eye-level, so they can make their owndecisions about how they would like to playeach day. This wonderful environment is whereyour baby will make their very first friends,enjoying the company of children their own ageand bonding with their key person.

We care for our babies with a ratio of 1 teammember to every 3 babies. This ensures yourlittle one receives all the care, attention andcuddles they need to thrive.

A Special BondWhen your baby joins our nursery they willdevelop a special bond with their key person.This person will be the friendly face you chatwith about your baby’s development both atnursery and at home. They will be there tosupport you every step of the way, from feedingand napping routines to those magical firstwords.

The key person approach means your child isbeing cared for by someone who knows allabout their unique likes, interests and needs.They’ll use this familiarity to provide care andlearning activities tailored specifically to yourbaby, giving them the best possible start.

Settling in NicelyLeaving your precious baby at nursery for thefirst time can be incredibly difficult, especiallywhen you’re a first time parent. To help youthrough what can be a very emotional time, weoffer free ‘settling in sessions’. This involves youspending time with your baby and their keyperson at nursery, before popping out for ashort time to allow your little one interact withtheir new surroundings.

You can do this a number of times until you feelconfident about your little one staying with usfor a full session. We find this really helpsparents and babies to settle into nursery life!

NutritionWe provide formula milk as part of ournursery fees and are also very happy to takeexpressed milk if you are breastfeeding. Ifyou would prefer, you can also pop in tobreastfeed your little one at the nursery.

When it’s time for your baby to move on tosolids, we provide a varied seasonal menufilled with delicious and nutritious meals andsnacks. Mealtimes at our nursery are alwayslovely social occasions, where your baby willbe gently encouraged to try exciting newtastes and textures each day.

All of our meals are prepared in the nurserykitchen using fresh, locally sourcedingredients. Our Nursery Chef cooks a widevariety of tasty and well-balanced meals,which can be altered to meet any specialdietary requirements.

Safe and SoundThe safety of your little one is just as important tous as it is to you. We have the followingprocedures in place to keep them safe and sound.

1 CCTV so your nursery manager can see throughout the building

1 Secure door entry systems preventing unauthorised people from entering the nursery

1 A registration system that means only people you have nominated can collect your child

1 Highly-qualified staff with paediatric first aid and safeguarding training

1 Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks on all staff members

Our CurriculumAs an Ofsted registered nursery our curriculumfollows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)framework.

The EYFS sets the standards for the care,learning and development of children from birthto 5 years, it is the same set of standards allschools, pre-schools, nurseries and receptionclasses must follow. Although ‘EYFS’ soundsvery formal, it actually focuses on learningthrough exciting games and play. It allows ourteam to provide activities that are tailored toyour child’s unique likes and interests so thatlearning is always lots of fun.

Our learning activities cover the EYFS’s 7 keyareas:

Registration Fee: £25.00 Deposit: £50.00 Refundable Key Fob Deposit: £10.00

10% discount off eldest child's nursery fees for siblings.

*Based on 1140 (30 hours x 38 weeks) split over 51 weeks. Please note the amount payable may differ dependent on when yourchild becomes eligible to free entitlement.

Universal 15 hours free childcare entitlement is available to all 3 and 4 year olds. 2 year old free childcare entitlement is availablesubject to eligibility. *Extended 30 hours free childcare entitlement is available for most working parents of 3 and 4 year olds, theterm after their third birthday.

Free Early Education Entitlement does not include meals (Morning Session £3.00/Afternoon Session £1.50).

Fees are payable in advance on the 1st of the month and are calculated on an annual basis (51 weeks) then divided by 12 to give you equal monthlypayments. Fees are not refundable for any periods of absence.
