COMPLETION OF LIP-SYNC TUTORIAL

Within our tutorial , we had three main types of shots , one with a wide shot , medium shots and midshots/close ups . Due to our lack of timing to film and difficulties with setting up the equipment before filming we wasted a lot of time before we could get to filming .

BASE TRACKS

• Once we started filming we could only manage to do three base tracks , which we realised wasn't enough when editing as it meant the shots were just repeated and it seemed quite repetitive , after discussing this we realised the importance of having a base track which covers the whole song as it allows you to change and pick and mix in a sense when editing to make it more visually entertaining .

VERNALLIS THEORY

• This relates to Vernallis theory as through the beat of the songs the editing seems to a close connection to the rhythm of the song , this is done through the use of jump cuts , effects and slow motion . As a group we successful used our three base tracks to make use of jump cuts , and also used slow motion at the beginning of the clip .

• This helped us when using markers , which are marks made on the timeframe on the beat of the song . For example , the chosen song used every four beats , so every four beats a marker was made on the song , so when we dragged our clips to the timeframe we was able to match up the markers to the beginning of the song and clips , after cutting the clips every four beats to make our jump cuts possible.
