The Link-Belt Series E4000 Idler line features factory lubricated and sealed for life rolls which elim-inate relubrication maintenance costs, thus lowering your total operating cost. Boasting load ratingswhich exceed CEMA E requirements, this rugged idler line is designed for maximum capacity andcontinuous handling of the heaviest, coarsest, most abrasive materials, such as coal, iron ore, copper,large stone and overburden.

Available in 36 to 96-inch belt width 20, 35, and 45 degree troughed, positive action training,impact, and return idlers, the unique design of the E4000S idler provides extended, trouble free ser-vice life for your belt conveyor equipment.

The E4000 rollers and frames are protected from corrosion by a polymeric powder coating (Corvel Gray) which is applied following a three-stage phos-phate cleaning operation. The finish is then baked on at high temperatures to provide resistance toabrasive elements. Assembly hardware is electro-zinc plated to ensure extended service.

The Series E4000 rollers, available in both 6 and 7-inch diameters, feature an exclusive, full lengthcenter tube and precision die-formed heads that are recessed into hot rolled mechanical shells. Theentire unit is then continuously welded robotically, thus ensuring an integral, airtight unit wherein contaminants and corrosion cannot enter. This unrivaled center tube design guarantees perfect shaft/bearing alignment. Bearing life is increased byusing solid, cold drawn steel shafts to minimize deflection and increase load ratings.

The redesigned premium quality Delrin triple horizontal labyrinth outer seal protects the precisiontapered roller bearings in several ways. The outer deflector cap (flinger) features a 90 degree con-toured lip to deflect material away from the roll end. Triple horizontal, greased-filled labyrinths andnitrile triple lip contact primary seals, along with rear non-contacting seals, ensure against the ingressof performance inhibiting contaminants. The outer adjusting nuts are zinc plated, machined steel, tominimize corrosion

The E4000 idler line features an inverted angle frame base with slotted footstraps to ensure quick,easy mounting and alignment. The heavy duty, die-formed, steel end brackets are contoured for generous clearance to safeguard against spilled materials becoming jammed and impeding the rotation of the rollers. All idler frames and rolls are welded in accordance with AWS D1.1 specifications for structural welds.

The Link-Belt Series E4000 Idler line features factory lubricated rolls supplied with lubrication fittings at bothends of the idlers for ease in field regreasing from either side of the conveyor. The Series E4000 idler load ratingsexceed CEMA E requirements and are designed for high capacity, continuous material handling operations moving large volumes of the heaviest, coarsest, most abrasive materials,such as coal, iron ore, copper, large stone and overburden.

The complete line of E4000 Series idlers includes 36 to 96-inch belt width, 20, 35, and 45 degree 3 rolltroughed, positive action training, impact, and return idlers, as well as many specially designed products to suitevery material handling requirement.

Triple horizontal, grease filled labyrinths and nitrile triplelip contact primary seals ensure against the ingress of performance inhibiting contaminants. Additional protectionof the idler bearings is assured by the “grease filled center tube” and grease-through-lubrication. Each threeroll troughed idler is equipped with a standard grease fitting at each end, along with polypropylene shaft connec-tors between the center and end rolls for single point positivegreasing.

Variable troughed belt idlers placed between thefinal troughing idler and the head pulley, support thebelt during its transition from a concave to a flat con-tour. The end rolls can be adjusted vertically tomatch the changing contour of the belt during thiscritical period of transition. Standard design featuressteel rolls. Rigid frame v-return idlers provide a means of trainingthe return belt, with the added benefit of additional carry-ing load capacity. Rigid v-returns can be adjusted usingslotted bolt holes in the end brackets of the frame to aidin proper belt training.

Dseries E4000HD “sealed for life”

or regreaseable for increased capacity.

Series E4000HD Heavy-Duty idler assemblies are recommendedwhere loads exceed CEMA E ratings. The heavy duty design which uses astep shaft design with standard 1 1/4-inch bearings will, in many cases,permit the conveying of loads up to 50 percent greater than the normalcapacities. Available in 6 and 7-inch diameter rolls, the carrying idler’sexternal dimensions are identical to Series E4000. All Series E4000HDHeavy Duty Idlers are available for belt widths up to 72-inch. Troughedidlers for 20, 35 and 45-inch trough angles are available for belt widthsthrough 96-inch.
