Synopsis  of  the  Minutes  of  the  Oct  24th  Meeting  of  the  Board  of  Directors  –  See  full  Minutes  on  Lindsford.net    After  establishing  a  quorum  of  Directors  (Charlie  Cox,  John  Lane,  James  Kalisik,  Lisa  Youngclaus),  the  meeting  began  with  approval  of  the  Minutes  of  the  Board  Meeting  for  September  26,  2019.  Legal  Presentation:  Alex  Menendez,  an  attorney  from  Pavese  Law  Firm  presented  information  on  HOA  Covenants  –  what  the  intent  is,  how  our  Covenants  compare  to  other  HOAs,  the  Florida  HOA  Law  and  how  they  can  be  changed.      Details  can  be  found  in  the  meeting  minutes.    Committee  Reports:    Financial:    The  HOA  has  current  assets  of  $470,236.82  (including  reserve  accounts  of  $64,191.63  and  6  interest-­‐bearing  CD’s  totaling  $229,342.32).    Current  Liabilities  were  about  $49,092.97.    We  had  about  $6,327  in  prior  Assessments  in  arrears.      There  are  about  8  homeowners  who  are  more  than  90  days  in  arrears  (1  to  3  quarterly  payments).      ARC:  As  of  the  date  of  the  meeting,  the  ARC  Committee  has  6  requests  that  are  pending  review  (waiting  for  insurance  endorsements).  All  other  requests  have  been  addressed.      Social  Committee:  Kaalin  Fullilove  described  a  number  of  upcoming  Social  Committee  events,  including  plans  for  Halloween.      Old  Business:          •   The  Board  is  currently  evaluating  a  change  to  the  Certificate  of  Liability  requirement.    Details  are  

provided  in  the  meeting  minutes.      •   Working  continues  on  the  issues  that  need  to  be  addressed  so  we  can  enter  into  a  Traffic  

Enforcement  Agreement  with  FMPD  to  deal  with  speeding  and  other  traffic  infractions.      •   CLA  provided  an  updated  mulch  proposal  and  the  Board  decision  was  to  move  forward  with  CLA.      •   Oak  tree  replanting  has  hit  an  obstacle  in  that  the  builder  signed  an  agreement  with  the  City  of  Fort  

Myers  around  percentage  of  tree  canopy  on  residential  lots.      The  Board  is  investigating  further.        •   Charlie  provided  additional  information  on  the  Serena  Park  Development  which  can  be  found  in  the  

meeting  minutes.    New  Business:        •   An  insurance  claim  is  being  submitted  for  the  damage  done  by  the  lightning.        •   The  Master  HOA  will  be  cleaning  the  sidewalks  and  curbs  this  year.      A  recommendation  was  made  

that  anyone  that  is  having  their  roof  cleaned  also  consider  sealing  the  roof.        •   The  Master  HOA  is  currently  soliciting  bids  for  a  propane  heater  to  supplement  the  geothermal  

heater  as  they  no  longer  believe  the  geothermal  heater  is  sufficient.        •   There  was  discussion  on  lease  approvals  and  background  checks.      Additional  information  can  be  

found  in  the  meeting  minutes.      •   The  Board  will  ask  CLA  to  pick  up  palm  fronds  every  week.          Next  Board  Meeting:    The  October  Board  Meeting  will  be  Thursday  November  21st  at  7:00PM  in  the  Clubhouse.  Adjournment:    This  meeting  was  adjourned  at  9:20  pm  by  unanimous  vote  of  the  Directors.

Reminders    Dog  Poop:      If  your  dog  poops,  no  matter  where  in  Lindsford,  it  is  YOUR  responsibility  to  pick  it  up!    Use  the  poop-­‐bag  dispensers  and  help  keep  our  community  clean!    Speed  Limit:    The  speed  limit  is  15  mph!    Swimming  Pool  and  Spa:    The  swimming  pool  and  spar  are  open  from  dawn  to  dusk  ONLY.        NO  GLASS  containers  on  the  pool  or  spa  deck!    Community  Safety:      If  you  see  suspicious  behavior,  including  trespassing,  call  the  Fort  Myers  PD  non-­‐emergency  phone  number  (239-­‐321-­‐7700)  to  report  it!    However,  if  you  witness  an  emergency  or  crime  in  progress,  call  911.    Remember  –  FMPD  is  patrolling  Lindsford  and  enforcing  all  City  ordinances,  including  speeding  and  parking  violations.    Architectural  and  Landscape  Changes:    An  architectural  application  form  must  be  submitted  before  you  make  ANY  changes  to  the  outside  of  your  home/villa  or  landscaping.    You  must  have  Board  Approval  prior  to  starting  the  work.  Guidelines  &  ARC  forms  are  on  Lindsford.net.    Be  sure  to  submit  the  complete  application  and  supporting  documentation  to  Nicole  White  –  [email protected]        Parking:  Overnight  parking  on  the  street  is  NOT  permitted.  FMPD  will  issue  tickets  to  cars  parked  in  drive-­‐ways  that  block  the  sidewalk  where  it  crosses  the  driveway,  or  overhang  into  the  street,  and  for  cars  parked  on  the  grassy  parkway  strip  or  on  the  street  facing  the  wrong  way.    The  Board  voted  on  6/25/19  to  implement  a  vehicle  towing  policy.    Leasing  Your  Home:  Before  leasing  your  home,  please  see  the  forms  and  requirements  on  Lindsford.net.    The  process  requires  14-­‐21  days  AFTER  the  full  application  is  received  for  Board  review  and  approval,  and  the  tenant  may  not  move  in  prior  to  Board  approval.    Lease  renewals  also  require  Board  approval.    Bus  Stop:  The  Master  HOA  installed  signs  on  Alderman’s  Walk  near  the  exit  onto  Winkler  Ave  marking  it  “No  Parking  or  Standing”  –  even  if  you  have  your  flashers  on  and  are  just  waiting  for  your  student.        Parking  in  the  traffic  lanes  or  on  the  parkway  strip  on  Aldermans  Walk  is  illegal  and  creates  traffic  problems  that  are  dangerous  for  everyone.    FMPD  will  be  issue  tickets  to  cars  parked  or  standing  on  Aldermans  Walk  near  the  exit.    Exiting  traffic,  please  watch  out  for  children  waiting  for  the  buses.
