Light curtains

General Description

di-soric Lichtgitter für denindustriellen Einsatz und fürAufzüge überwachen einendefinierten Kontrollbereich mitmehreren unsichtbaren,infraroten Lichtstrahlen.Die Lichtgittersysteme bestehenaus einer Sender- und einerEmpfängerleiste aus eloxiertemAluminium. Sie arbeiten nachdem Prinzip von mehrerenEinweg-Lichtschranken, derenAusgangssignale verknüpftsind. Wird ein beliebigerLichtstrahl zwischen Sender-und Empfängerleiste unterbro-chen, schaltet der Ausgang derAuswerteelektronik.Die Auswerteelektronik ist jenach Lichtgittertyp in denLichtgitterleisten integriert oderarbeitet als externer VerstärkerLVM mit separatem Gehäuse.Durch den modularen Aufbauder Lichtgitter und die univer-sellen Montagemöglichkeitenmit verschiedenen Montage-sätzen, speziell für den Einsatzin Aufzügen, können di-soricLichtgitter an alle Anwendun-gen und Einsatzmöglichkeitenoptimal angepasst werden.

Für den industriellen Einsatzsind speziell Lichtgitter mit derMontageart ΙΙΙΙΙ geeignet. DieseLichtgitter sind mit integrierteroder externer Auswerte-elektronik lieferbar.

Sicherheitshinweis

Der Einsatz dieser Geräte mussdurch Fachpersonal erfolgen.Die Lichtgitter sind keinezertifizierten Sicherheitslichtgitternach EN 61 496. Sie sind keineSicherheitsbauteile im Sinne derEU-Maschinenrichtlinie.Die Geräte sind nicht zulässig fürSicherheitsanwendungen,inbesondere bei denen dieSicherheit von Personen von derGerätefunktion abhängig ist.

Alle technischen Angaben be-ziehen sich auf den Stand 06/02,Änderungen bleiben vorbehal-ten. Da Irrtümer und Druckfehlernicht auszuschließen sind, gilt füralle Angaben „ohne Gewähr”.

Lichtgitter mit der Montageart Tzeichnen sich durch ein beson-ders enges Strahlraster aus.

Speziell für den Einsatz inAufzügen wurden die Licht-gitter mit der Montageart Aentwickelt. Diese Lichtgitterlassen sich in Verbindung mitverschiedenen Montagesätzenoptimal zur Überwachung vonAufzügen/Aufzugstüreneinsetzen.

di-soric light curtains forindustrial use and elevatorsmonitor a defined control areawith several invisible, infraredlight beams. The light curtainsystems consist of a transmitterstrip and a receiver strip madeof anodized aluminium. Theyfunction on the principle ofseveral one-way light barrierswith linked output signals.If a random light beam isinterrupted between thetransmitter and the receiverstrip, the output of theevaluation electronics isactivated.Depending on the light curtaintype, the evaluation electronicsis either integrated into thelight curtain strips or operate asexternal LVM amplifier with aseparate casing.Due to the modular structure ofthe light curtains and theuniversal possibilities formounting using variousmounting kits, designedspecially for use in elevators,di-soric light curtains can beadapted perfectly to anyapplications or possible uses.

Light curtains of mountingtype ΙΙΙΙΙ are ideally suited forindustrial use. These lightcurtains are available eitherwith integrated or externalevaluation electronics.

Safety instruction

These instruments shall exclusivelybe used by qualified personnel.These light curtains are notcertified safety light curtainsaccording to EN 61 496. They arenot safety components in thesense of the EU machinesguideline.The instruments may not beused for safety applications, inparticular applications in whichsafety of persons depends onproper operation of theequipment.

All technical specifications refer tothe state of the art 06/02, they aresubject to modifications.As typographical and other errorscannot be excluded, all data aregiven „without engagement“.

Light curtains of mountingtype T are characterised by aparticularly narrow lightbeam grid.

The light curtains of mountingtype A were developedspecially for use in elevators.These light curtains are idealfor use in conjunction withvarious mounting kits formonitoring elevators orelevator doors.

DurchÜberwachungshöhen von 88mm bis zu 5580 mm undStrahlabstände von 12,5 mmbis 112 mm sind diese Licht-gitter für fast alle Anwendun-gen in der Industrie geeignet.di-soric Lichtgitter LC ... Ιbestehen aus einer Sender- undeiner Empfängerleiste mitintegrierter Auswerteelektronik.Sie arbeiten nach dem Prinzipvon mehreren Einweg-Licht-schranken deren Ausgangs-signale verknüpft sind.Die Reichweite der Lichtgitterist zwischen 0,7 m und 4 mwerkseitig voreingestellt undkann nicht verändert werden.Wird ein beliebiger Lichtstrahlzwischen Sender- undEmpfängerleiste unterbrochen,schaltet der Ausgang derAuswerteelektronik.Die Lichtgitter besitzen einenkurzschlussfesten, pnp-Transistorausgang und sindhellschaltend (Überwachungs-bereich frei - Ausgang aktiv)oder dunkelschaltend(Überwachungsbereich frei -Ausgang inaktiv) lieferbar.Über LEDs werden die Betriebs-spannung, der Ausgangszu-stand und auftretende Störun-gen angezeigt.

Um bei Störungen einenNotbetrieb zu gewährleisten,werden durch defekte Senderoder Empfänger ausgefalleneLichtstrahlen nach ca. 1 Minuteausgeblendet. Die maximalausblendbaren Lichtstrahlensind auf 1/8 der gesamtenStrahlanzahl begrenzt.Bei einer manipulierten Unter-brechung von Lichtstrahlen, z.B.durch Kaugummi, wird nur einLichtstrahl ausgeblendet. DasLichtgitter signalisiert dieseStörung durch die Warn-LED.Bei Lichtgittern mit nur 4Lichtstrahlen erfolgt keineAusblendung.Störungsmeldungen werdenüber die Warn-LED angezeigt.Die mögliche Fehlerursache istdurch die Blinkfolge der Warn-LED erkennbar.Die Montage der Lichtgitter-leisten erfolgt über M4-Gewindebolzen an der Leisten-rückseite. Die Gewindebolzensind symmetrisch über diegesamte Leiste verteilt.Angeschlossen werden dieLichtgitter über 4 m langeAnschlusskabel mit offenenKabelenden. Zur Synchronisati-on von Sender- undEmpfängerleiste werden diebeiden Synchronisationsan-schlüsse SYNC miteinanderverbunden (Leitungslänge max.30 m).

Ιwere developed as a cost-effective standard light curtainfor use in the industrial sector.With monitoring heights from88 mm to 5580 mm and lightbeam interspaces from 12.5mm to 112 mm, these lightcurtains are suitable for virtuallyall industrial applications. Thedi-soric light curtains LC ... Ιconsist of a transmitter stripand a receiver strip withintegrated evaluationelectronics. They function onthe principle of several one-way light barriers with linkedoutput signals. The operatingdistance of the light curtains ispre-set at the factory between0.7 m and 4 m and cannot bechanged.If a random light beam isinterrupted between thetransmitter and the receiverstrip, the output of theevaluation electronics isactivated. The light curtainshave a short-circuit-proof pnptransistor output and they areavailable in both light-switchingmode (monitored area clear -output active) and dark-switching mode (monitoredarea clear - output inactive).The service voltage, the outputstatus and any faults areindicated by LEDs.

In order to guaranteeemergency service in the eventof malfunctions, light beams,failed due to a defectivetransmitter or receiver, aredeactivated after approx. 1 min.The maximum number of lightbeams which can bedeactivated is limited to 1/8 ofthe total number of light beamsemitted.If a manipulated interruption ofthe light beams occurs, e.g. bychewing gum only one lightbeam is deactivated. The lightcurtain indicates this malfunctionvia the Warn LED. There is nodeactivation function on lightcurtains with only 4 lightbeams.Fault messages are indicated bya Warn LED. The possible causeof the fault is shown by theblinking sequence of the WarnLED. The light curtain strips aremounted using M4 threadedbolts on the rear of the strip.The threaded bolts aredistributed symmetrically alongthe entire length of the strip.The light curtains areconnected with 4 m-longconnecting cables with opencable ends. The twosynchronisation connectionsSYNC are connected with eachother to synchronise thetransmitter and receiver strips(lead length max. 30 m).

Ιbestehen aus einer Sender- undeiner Empfängerleiste mitexterner Auswerteelektronik.Sie arbeiten nach dem Prinzipvon mehreren Einweg-Licht-schranken deren Ausgangs-signale verknüpft sind.Die Reichweite der Lichtgitterist , im Gegensatz zu denLichtgittern LC, über dieAuswerteelektronik zwischen1,5 m und 6 m einstellbar.Die Montage der LichtgitterLG ... Ι erfolgt über M4-Gewindebolzen an der Leisten-rückseite. Die Gewindebolzensind symmetrisch über diegesamte Leiste verteilt.Der Anschluss an der Aus-werteelektronik erfolgt über 4m lange Anschlusskabel mitSteckverbindern.

Auswerteelektronik LVM ...Die Auswerteelektronik LVM ...ist in einem separatenKunststoffgehäuse unterge-bracht.Je nach Typ der Auswerte-elektronik ist der Anschlusseines zweiten Lichtgittersmöglich. Dadurch ist es möglich,über nur eine Auswerte-elektronik zwei Lichtgitter überKreuz als „echtes“ Lichtgitterzu betreiben.Die Lichtgitter werden mitSteckern an die Auswerte-elektronik angeschlossen unddie Sendeleiste auf dieEmpfängerleiste ausgerichtet.Wird ein beliebiger Lichtstrahlzwischen Sender- undEmpfängerleiste unterbrochen,schaltet der Ausgang derAuswerteelektronik.

The di-soric light curtains LG...I consistof a transmitter strip and areceiver strip with externalevaluation electronics. Theyfunction on the principle ofseveral one-way light barrierswith linked output signals. Incontrast to the LC lightcurtains, the operating distanceof these light curtains can beset between 1.5 m and 6 musing the evaluationelectronics. The light curtainsLG...I are mounted using M4threaded bolts on the rear ofthe strip. The threaded boltsare distributed symmetricallyalong the entire length of thestrip. The evaluationelectronics have light-switching(monitored area clear - relaypicked up) relay outputs(change-over contacts).Depending on the evaluationelectronics type, either awarning output or an additio-nal output for a second lightcurtain is present.The operating distance can beset between 1.5 m and 6 mwith a potentiometer and isindicated by a row of LEDs.Depending on the system type,this row of LEDs can also signala contamination alarm. Faultevaluation is possible using thesignal LEDs.In order to guaranteeemergency service in the eventof malfunctions, light beams,failed due to a defectivetransmitter or receiver, aredeactivated after approx. 1 min.The maximum number of lightbeams which can bedeactivated is limited to 1/8 ofthe total number of light beamsemitted (with number of beams< 64, limited to 8).If a manipulated interruption ofthe light beams occurs, e.g. bychewing gum an uninterruptedlight beam must follow amaximum of 2 interrupted lightbeams. Aufzugstürenentwickelt.Durch Überwachungshöhenvon 1676 mm bzw. 1732 mm,Strahlabstände von 56 mmoder 112 mm und Profillängenvon 2000 mm, 2050 mm oder2400 mm sind diese Lichtgitterfür fast alle Anwendungen imAufzugsbereich geeignet.Die Lichtgitter sind in zweiVersionen, nur mit parallelenStrahlen oder mit parallelenund diagonalen Strahlen,lieferbar.di-soric Lichtgitter LC ... Abestehen aus einer Sender- undeiner Empfängerleiste mitintegrierter Auswerteelektronik.Sie arbeiten nach dem Prinzipvon mehreren Einweg-Licht-schranken deren Ausgangs-signale verknüpft sind.Die Reichweite der Lichtgitterist zwischen 0,7 m und 4 mwerkseitig voreingestellt undkann nicht verändert werden.Wird ein beliebiger Lichtstrahlzwischen Sender- undEmpfängerleiste unterbrochen,schaltet der Ausgang derAuswerteelektronik.Die Lichtgitter besitzen einenkurzschlussfesten, pnp-Transistorausgang oder einenRelaisausgang. Über LEDs werden die Betriebs-spannung, der Ausgangszu-stand und auftretende Störun-gen angezeigt.Um bei Störungen einenNotbetrieb zu gewährleisten,werden durch defekte Senderoder Empfänger ausgefalleneLichtstrahlen nach ca. 1 Minuteausgeblendet. Die maximalausblendbaren Lichtstrahlensind auf 1/8 der gesamtenStrahlanzahl begrenzt.Bei einer manipulierten Unter-brechung von Lichtstrahlen, z.B.durch Kaugummi, wird nur einLichtstrahl ausgeblendet. DasLichtgitter signalisiert dieseStörung durch die Warn-LED.Bei Lichtgittern mit nur 4Lichtstrahlen erfolgt keineAusblendung.Störungsmeldungen werdenüber die Warn-LED angezeigt.Die mögliche Fehlerursache istdurch die Blinkfolge der Warn-LED erkennbar.Die Montage der Lichtgitter-leisten erfolgt über vier M4-Gewindebolzen im oberenBereich der Leistenrückseiteund Metallzapfen am unterenEnde der Lichtgitterprofile.Für die Anpassung an verschie-denste Aufzugsfabrikatekönnen unterschiedlicheMontagesätze verwendetwerden.Angeschlossen werden dieLichtgitter über 4 m langeAnschlusskabel mit offenenKabelenden. The light curtains areavailable in two versions, withparallel beams only or withparallel and diagonal beams.The di-soric light curtains LC...Aconsist of a transmitter stripand a receiver strip withintegrated evaluationelectronics. They function onthe principle of several one-way light barriers with linkedoutput signals. The operatingdistance of the light curtains ispre-set at the factory between0.7 m and 4 m and cannot bechanged.If a random light beam isinterrupted between thetransmitter and the receiverstrip, the output of theevaluation electronics isactivated. The light curtainshave a short-circuit-proof pnptransistor output or a relayoutput. They are available inboth light-switching (monitoredarea clear - output active) anddark-switching (monitored areaclear - output inactive) versions.Light curtains with a relayoutput are available in a make-contact version and a break-contact version.

The service voltage, the outputstatus and any faults areindicated by LEDs.In order to guaranteeemergency service in the eventof malfunctions, light beams,failed due to a defectivetransmitter or receiver, aredeactivated after approx. 1 min.The maximum number of lightbeams which can bedeactivated is limited to 1/8 ofthe total number of light beamsemitted.If a manipulated interruption ofthe light beams occurs, e.g. bychewing gum only one lightbeam is deactivated. The lightcurtain indicates this malfunctionvia the Warn LED. There is nodeactivation function on lightcurtains with only 4 lightbeams.Fault messages are indicated bythe Warn LED. The possiblecause of the fault is shown bythe blinking sequence of theWarn LED. The light curtainstrips are mounted using fourM4 threaded bolts in the upperarea of the rear of the strip andmetal pins on the lower end ofthe light curtain profile. Variousmounting kits may be used toadapt the system to a widevariety of elevator makes. Thelight curtains are connectedwith 4 m-long connectingcables with open cable ends.The two synchronisationconnections SYNC areconnected to each other tosynchronise the transmitter andreceiver strips (lead length max.30 m).
