By installing the safety lightcurtains by direct alignment,it is possible to cover a dan-gerous area. The SRN mir-rors, placed in right position,allow to reflect the beamsemitted by the light curtainsand consequently can beused to control more con-tiguous sides of hazardouszones, as shown in the pic-tures sideways and below.

Deviating MirrorsIt is important to take intoconsideration that the intro-duction of mirrors causes thedecrease of the operatingdistance of the safety lightcurtains by 15% for eachreflection. Where needed,the use of the LASP laserpointer is advisable to makeeasier the alignment proce-dure.

For all those applicationswhere the alignment of thesafety light curtains can bedifficult as consequence ofthe long distance betweenthe emitter and the receiverunits or the adoption of oneor more deviating mirrors toprotect contiguous sides of adangerous area, the LASPlaser pointer can be used.By inserting the LASP laser

Laser pointerpointer in the upper part ofthe emitting unit (and then inthe lower one), using one ofthe two side slots of the pro-file (refer to drawing), theright alignment can be easilyachieved thanks to the visi-ble indication. The LASP laser pointer ispowered by three 1.5 V LR-44 type batteries.

The floor stand of the SPTseries can be used for theinstallation of both emitterand receiver units of the SB2and SB4 safety light curtainsseries, as well as for theSRN deviating mirror series.Five versions with different
