To begin with, these rather fabulous Gandhi portraits are just £90 each, and each one saves a life...

For each Gandhi painting I sell for £90, I’ll be using £50 to heal and transform someones life in Bhopal in India.

For many people affected by the Bhopal gas disaster, £50 is literally the difference between life and death.

Certainly it’s the difference between a life of suffering and a life of healing.

I’m going there in person this December. I’m going to transform a life for every painting I’ve sold.

A bit of info about Bhopal:

Bhopal, India was the scene of the worst industrial accident in Human history. You probably have a memory of it…

In the night of Dec 2nd 1984, an abandoned pesticide factory owned by Union Carbide released 27 tonnes of methyl iso-cyanate. The city was gassed, and around 8000 people died that night and over the next week.

A lot more have died since. A lethal mix of corporate neglect and politics means that the factory is still poisoning people.

More than 120,000 people still suffer from the effects of the gas, which include birth defects, cancers, physical deformities, mental retardation, stunted growth, depression, kidney disease, and chronic fatigue.

I’m just trying to put things right.
