Dear Mr. Russell:

On June 21, 1990 the Waste Management Division (WMD) collected sa~les from the deep bedrock and shall ow dug wells at the Town Garage. The purpose · of the sa~l ing was to help detennine if groundwater contamination detected at the Holton Circle Site could be linked to past waste disposal activities at the Town Garage.

The WMD is assisting the USEPA and Metcalf & Edey, Inc., EPA's RI/FS contractor for the Holton Circle Site. in sample collection and analysis. The sa~le was sutmitted to the N.H. Department of Envirormental Services' Laboratory for analysis. The sample was analyzed for volatile organic co111>ounds and 12 inorganic drinking water parameters. The results of the analyses for the deep well were:

No volatile organic co111>ounds were detected in the dug well. Results of the 1norgan1cs analyses for both wells are enclosed.
