Dear Friends of The Roundtable:

It has been a few months since we’ve been in touch through this format. Back in the spring, you may have received two of our “e-newsletters” which we used as a beta-test to generate feedback and explore the best way for The Roundtable to keep you philanthropically informed.  This more concise version is a reflection of that feed-back.  We hope you find it helpful.

I wanted to give you a brief update on recent Roundtable happenings as well as a peek at upcoming events on our calendar. We just completed our second Spirituality of Philanthropy gathering in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with Father Richard Rohr. Once again, this event was well received, and there were many comments on the need for further discussions of this nature. Looking ahead, here’s a look at some of our upcoming events:

Second Annual Roundtable, October 2014, Tofino, British Columbia. Entitled The Good Earth: Rediscovering Our Responsibility to God, Our Neighbour and Creation, this retreat will explore the important relationship between our faith and our care for the earth. For more information, click

HERE.

Global Perspectives Seminar, February 2015, Cambodia. This event will be an exceptional “boots-on-the-ground” journey toward understanding the economic and political issues surrounding poverty and sex trafficking.

March 25-26, 2015, The Roundtable will host a day-seminar in Toronto with North American family wealth experts on navigating the transition of wealth and generosity within families.

The Seven Churches: Lessons from the Ancient Church, May 2-14. Friends of The Roundtable will trace the transformation of the Early Church through Turkey. This event is waitlisted. For the invitation, click HERE.

In addition to these events, you will have access to well-curated philanthropic research that will be distributed through our e-newsletters and eventually through our website (to be completed in October, 2014).

It is our hope that this rich collection of events and resources will address those issues that are of most importance to you and that the relationships you form through The Roundtable will contribute to the spiritual and vocational flourishing of all involved.

We welcome your feedback.

Warmest regards.
