At 33 Mr. A joined a commercial bank as Senior Manager. One year after he joined, this bank became distressed. The staff and owners battled for two years to save the bank by themselves but failed. Finally the bank was acquired, recapitalised and reorganised by a group of investors. The new investors asked all existing staff to resign and reapply; this they did including this senior manager. Upon reapplication and following series of interviews, Mr. A was given an offer of a Deputy manager in the restructured bank: a position with lower pay, and with withdrawal of some entitlements as car and driver. To make matters more difficult one of the new management staff, who will now be 5 grades above Mr A. was actually 5 levels below him only 2 years earlier The gentle man has options with better pay in non banking. He must now decideAs Mr. A, what will you do and why?

CHALLENGES IN LIFECHALLENGES IN LIFE
In life we are faced with three Challenges:
OpportunitiesProblemsDilemmas
Opportunities are those situations which have the
capacity to directly support the realisation of our desires. They
should be identified and used profitably
Dilemmas are those situations which are neither problems
nor opportunities. We should live with them until they
become either opportunities or problems
Problems are situations which
appear as obstacles between us and our desired goals and should be solved. They give us the
opportunity to learn and grow.

We cannot change the past; we cannot
change the inevitable; we cannot change the fact that people will act in certain ways
LIFE IS 15% WHAT HAPPENS TO US AND 85% HOW WE REACT TO IT

THE CAN DO ATTITUDE
You CAN DO everything, but not all at once.
You CAN DO everything, if it’s important enough for you to do.
You CAN DO everything, but you may not be the best at everything.
You CAN DO everything, but there will be limitations.
You CAN DO everything, but you’ll need help.
