This tank is simply a pipe that has been cut to approximately 3” in length depending of the core size in cc’s volume. The part that will dictate the diameter and the final cut height of part 3. is the reactor chamber 18. This will also dictate the final dimension and length of the Reactor Holder 17.

Current design requires this tank is 2.5” ID and 2.625” OD x 2.750” long, this can vary but due to the anticipated heat and water this copper tube was chosen type M wall thickness .065” and a tolerance of .006” and the high price in small quantity ended up being $30.00 per foot and if 3” ID is used it’s $40.00 per foot . http://www.plumbingsupply.com/copperpipe.html

Acorn nut 8. requires an insulation washer. This is used as a replacement for a flanged nut.

This washer is made from brass and is called a large pattern flat washer with a .250” ID and an approximate .625” OD and the price is $ 17.07 for a box of 100. Part of 8. this is not specified a number. It is shown in the figures as part of nut 8.

Shielding is for potential safety, although not needed to make the Reactor safe, this added protection is in case a requirement for a teaching tool dictates this method.

9. Shield pack consists of lead sheet 1/32” thick and can be worked with easily. 10. is anticipated a pipe however the sheeting can be also wrapped and secured easily around tank 3.

There are three of #13. Pipe Plugs and these are the hollow which will require an 1/8” Allen Wrench. Pipe Plug Parker # is HHP – B – 1/8” NPT.

This application also requires a nut to match the threads. Box of 100 = $ 7.24 .No washer required this application. We can find rubber ends to snap on.

The length in this application will change as the accessory kit for an additional spark plug, fuel compartment or whatever to be added to the auxiliary hydrogen chamber access port on the bottom surface of part 2. Base Plate.

This glow plug has an 18mm diameter thread x 1.5TP (thread pitch).

It is used in a 1975 Mercedes Benz 300D. They are available in sets of 4 with all wiring & electric controller for around $ 120.00.

0 250 201 044 glow plug will heat quicker than a conventional glow plug due to they are for a 7 volt system and we will run most likely off of a 12vdc. That will enhance the speed of heating and cooling making shorter oscillation times possible to maintain a specific chamber temperature.

that kit , this one is only $120.00, the plug is around $14.00 each.
