Learn Aikido 979-203-3706 Aikido is a “Way of combining forces” performed by blending with the motion of a physical attack and redirecting the force rather than opposing it head- on. It requires very little physical strength to lead this momentum using entering and turning move- ments. Often translated as "the Way of unifying (with) life energy" or as "the Way of harmo- nious spirit," Aikido is an art that practitioners can use to defend them - selves and to protect the attacker from injury. Where: The Studio above “Wild Women Wise Women” in Round Top Times: Friday 7-9 pm and Sunday 4-6 pm. Other: Cost is $ 65.00 per month - to attend as often as sessions are available. He trained there for about two years. It injured his body too much, so he searched for a more gentle art. In his search he found Aikido. He moved to South Florida and trained with Peter Ber- nath Sensei the head instuctor, at Florida Aikikai in Ft Lauderdale. He presently holds the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt). Jack Colombo is a member in good standing of the U.S. Aikido Federation. Dr. Chris Dalrymple, a chiropractic doctor practicing in Brenham for nearly 3 decades, began the study of Kendo, Japanese sword fighting, over a decade ago. Studying at the Houston Budokan under Darrell Craig Sensei, he earned All US Kendo Federation ranking of a san kyu or third level student.
